Want a chance to play Dawnguard early? Following the success of our PC beta updates, we're excited to announce our Dawnguard Beta for Xbox 360.

Visit http://beta.elderscrolls.com/ to apply. The process should only take a couple minutes, but make sure to fill out all the information accurately. Applicants need a http://www.gamesas.com/ and you'll want to make sure your forum email address is updated.

We will be selecting applicants in about a week. Players accepted into the beta will receive an Xbox LIVE code to redeem Dawnguard. The beta is the full version (complete with Xbox LIVE achievements) and those participating will not have to purchase the content.

Thanks again for your continued support of Skyrim!

NOTE: If you accidentally signed up for the beta before joining the forum, you may want to sign up for the Beta again using the same email address, which will delete your previous entry and replace it with the new one.

I am just curious how many people they will be selecting. It still would be cool to say that you tested for an elderscrolls game.

Can't really fill it in 'accurately' on the hours played part, since I'm playing on the xbox, I have no way of finding out how long I've played on each individual character, and the hours played each week too, since I don't have a stopwatch everytime I play any game, so those I had to throw by a longshot. And there was no option for more than 3 characters ):

Still interested to figure out how they're selecting. I reckon there are entirely too many entries to do it manually as was previously suggested.

By the looks of it they're taking people from different sections e.g. they asked what race we play as, so they are going to want some khajiit testers to check for clipping and then another for human races, and so on. They also asked for what type of Xbox you have so im guessing they want to test how the different models play.

sorry but im sure on the xbox it says on the load selection screen, this is how i found out mine anyway, it just says time played then the number of hours on each character, but yeah the other one was difficult to guess

Can I just ask everyone to please stop svcking up to Bethesda, you will either get picked or you won't. Making all these posts claiming about how good you will bug test will do nothing.

I just had the wonderful idea that they are going to release the codes as they showcase Dawnguard at E3 today.

I would imagine they are pretty busy with E3, I am not expecting to hear anything till after. I don't even care about getting it for free I just can't wait to try it hehe.

Unlikely though. Don't expect the beta to become availiable for those lucky few until AFTER the 1.6 goes live on consoles, Which due to certification will be around a week after the patch goes live on the PC.

Yes, hence the "all involved" part of the post

Doesn't hurt to try mate!

Or i might just want to start a conversation about what people might be looking for.

Jesus i have been on this forum for a day now and there are so many "glass half empty" kind of people here

Just filled out the info for the Dawnguard Beta, the only problem is that when it asked how many characters I had, i could only go up to 3. I have at least two for every race, male and female, and most have at least 20 hours played, so choosing which ones to fill out the info for was a difficult decision. Anyone else have to pick favorites?

From what the good people at Bethesda have been saying a number of the beta testers should have been chosen by now. So to the Beta testers if there are any yet: 1. Is Vampire lord useful at level 50 and above 2. Can you get the vampire lord ability if you're a werewolf 3. How long is the game 4. How much tougher are the legendary dragons than the aincent ones 5. Whats the deal with the new mount 6. Are the rumors about there being capes true

Well, it said "about a week" last Friday, so codes should be in by Friday-Sunday. Cross your fingers!

Ummm... the beta testers probably wouldn't be able to answer questions publically like this without violating an NDA.
