When they give out the codes, could somebody make a poll basically for "yes I got in" or "no I didn't" I just think it'd be interesting to see the numbers in comparison of how many applicants vs those accepted into the beta

The NDA states that you cannot talk about the beta except for the specific bug reporting forum. I don't think you can tell people you have it.

Makes sense I guess, I just know that if I get in I'm gonna be so happy until I start getting into the bugs I'm supposed to be testing...they'll probably make the playability a little tough, hopefully not though

I would laugh if Beth only wanted about 250 people for the beta. Realistically, I would imagine maybe 2000?

Exactly. The beta would be much more internalized if they were looking for only a scant 250 testers. They offered this to the community because they want as many bugs and glitches ironed out as possible in less than a month. The bigger the net, the more fish you catch.

I dare say they may be looking for even more than 2k testers.

Yeah i'm glad they singled it out to just xbox 360 because if pc and ps3 where involved it would really svck.

hey bethesda i know u have alot on your hands to pick people and i might be the 1 out of the million users on this channel and im probaly just a little squirt in your eyes on this but what can i tell u is that i have been a big elder scrolls fan ever since i picked up that controller to that big hunk of machine that we call now a antique that was a first start of elder scrolls on the xbox and i loved it. it was a challenge i got to admit but thats what i love about the elder scrolls the challenge and how much time you guys put into it. You guys have always impressed me and always will till the day i sleep on my death bed. and i would also like to thank all the time you guys put into this beta testing pretty smart and clever. Im not going to beg at all like most people do but if u choose me i would thank the heavens and u guys and work hard at it. thanks for your time and have a wonderfull day

Free things, new content, or betas, they always manage to bring out the anxiety in people. Sometimes so anxious they don't read previous posts, to find their answers. For those of us that do manage to make it into the Beta, it certainly wouldn't hurt to change your privacy settings to private. (At least until the beta is over.) So that friends and recent players don't see the new achievement lists, or any spoilers that may pertain to them.

As to the hype of the new dlc, I'm at least hoping to have a worthy mount to charge with me into battle. (Shadowmere poofed, never respawned....darn butterflies. :/ ) Oh and crossbows don't hurt my feelings either.

So very many Dawnguard beta threads that have been locked. :shakehead: New members. New members everywhere :shakehead:

Just wondering, what is it with the thread-closing fetish here? What's wrong with having multiple pages...? I don't get the reasoning behind making things more inconvenient for the sake of having smaller numbers to read. We play Skyrim, an advanced RPG which requires a good level of intelligence to play properly. It is assumed we can count higher than 6.

Massive amounts of threads actually clog the Forums making things more difficult to discuss. Therefore, the Forum Rules do not allow multiple threads on the exact same topic. Had you thoroughly read the Forum rules upon creating your account, this would be known to you.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause any offence. I was just curious, as it's a practice I've never seen replicated on other forums. As for Forum Rules, I foolishly allowed myself the indulgence of briefly skim-reading, as I've joined many forums and arrogantly thought myself well-versed in the general gist of the rules. That is a mistake I shall not replicate!

A more on-topic question; will Bethesda be contacting their beta testers to make sure they're actually testing and not just playing the DLC early? I can imagine many people who are chosen might see it as an opportunity to play it through sooner rather than debug the expansion. I wonder how Beth will police it.

A'ight, sent in my application for the Beta.

Not getting my hopes up too high, since plenty of people are bound to have sent in theirs, but fingers crossed none the less.

This is begging. and if I was Bethesda I would not give keys out to the ones who beg for them.

Can't really fill it in 'accurately' on the hours played part, since I'm playing on the xbox, I have no way of finding out how long I've played on each individual character, and the hours played each week too, since I don't have a stopwatch everytime I play any game, so those I had to throw by a longshot. And there was no option for more than 3 characters ):

You can find out how many hours you have played. Just look before you load your game, an under your characters name, race an level is your time played should look like 025.23.12 for an example.
