Here's the text I read:

Dawnguard adds a new character in The Ratways of Riften who can alter the Dragonborn's appearance. Race and gender are locked, but other facial features can be tweaked.

It says that the source for this information was this month's edition of Game Informer magazine.

Of course... it is a Wiki, so anyone can edit it, but it is moderated, and false information is usually routed out fairly quickly.

Yeah... I stayed far away from those. I prefer to keep my distance from any thread that might contain any sort of speculation about anything that hasn't actually been released yet because those threads always have too much annoying content.

The threads were mostly speculation, but more about the actual release than the content. Questions about how many applications, if it was US only, how people would be informed, etc... I'd say questions and answers, but any answers were pretty rare or quite vague.

Well, I'm going to continue to level the characters I've had to re-do because of Skyrim's glitchtasticness. I've got one back to it's appropriate level, now I've just got to do the other.

Also, since being a pure mage might actually be viable now, I'm working on a new character pretty much exclusively for Dawnguard.

I am actually glad I didn't get it, because I usually take a very long time to finish big quest lines. I still have not finished the game. But if i was chosen I would have felt obligated to finish quicker then I like.

Yeah, I have to admit, I'm the same... I've had Skyrim since day one, and I've only completed The Companions, Civil War and College of Winterhold questlines... there's too much to do to rush to complete quests...
