Dawnguard Beta Rejection Support Group

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:38 am

i admit i joined these forums because of the beta but i plan to stay and comment quite frequently.(becuase i want to get into hearthfire beta or whatever the next dlc is going to be called).

So you'll only stay in hope of being in the next beta, not because of the community?

I'll apply for the next one in the hope that its for both US and international players (I'm not saying the Dawguard beta was only US), but with the knowledge that the odds are stacked against me. But I'm staying for the community. This is a group of gamers who are more than happy to help, and who actually reply to threads and posts, unlike some other forums... I'm not looking at any in particular coughtestdriveunlimited2cough.

I'm more disappointed in not getting in because now I have to spend $20 on a game I already paid $60 for! This Dawngaurd DLC better live up to every single microsoft point out of the 1,600 I paid for it!
I'm not even sure what to say to this...

You aren't paying $20 for a game you already paid $60 for. You're paying $20 for a DLC that you haven't paid anything for. And considering that so many games have $5 or $10 DLC that are things like '20 new ingame items!' I'd say $20 for like 30+ hours of new content is a DAAAAAAMN good deal.

Come on guys. I was REALLY pissed when I didn't get in (US only, WTF?!), but look on the bright side, Xbox users get Dawnguard TWO WEEKS pefore PC and PS3, and it's kinda cheap anyway.

Betas are there for people to test for bugs. Not for free DLC.

At first I was sad, then I realised that the DLC releases on 26th so I don't need to wait much longer.

Now I'm all better.

That actually sums it up pretty nicely.
I didn't get in and I Totaly agree with you .. I think if bethesda was going to do a beta test they should have handle it the same way they did with the pc and not as much would have been mad because now we all itching to play it :/

Yeah...I'm dissapointed in a lot of people who just signed up to the forums and applied for the beta JUST to get free DLC. That is just....for lack of better words...greedy and irresponisble.

That was mostly BS fault for saying the DLC would be free... they could have just notified the beta testers who got in. There would have then been a lot less people who applied. Not to mention posting it on Bethblog, and Twitter. Why? Most who got in were prior forum members to the beta, so why not just post a thread here about the beta, that way the dang media would be less likley to pick it up, and you would have gotten serious people looking to beta test. For the amount they accepted, non of that was necessary.

I agree I mean Beth should at least keep track of the people who got the beta and if the are not reporting nothing at all then they should make them pay for an update of dawnguard and ban them from any future beta testing for bethesda

lol this is great. Not exactly what I want to say about the whole matter, but close.

I care so little about not being selected to participate that it can't be measured. I don't understand how anybody can be "upset" (as in crying and depressed and needing a support group) about not having been selected.

Maybe they should just announce it here, on the forums, next time. Thoughts?
