guess i have to...the CODE is just that...a CODE...it is like the password that unlocks the file for the beta allowing you to download it.

so what makes you think that a password cant be sent ahead of time?

all that u have to do is think. the code is the password, however b4 the password can be used a administrator must use the FIRST password to unlock the file so that the code can be accepted. think about it. if you work on comps for a living its not that hard to figure this out...

No its being speculated it was -uploaded- with the patch. Two separate files.
Reread my earlier post.
Just because beth uploads them both at the same time doesnt mean you have to download both at the same time.

I presumed you were talking about when you turned on your system, hit play on skyrim and had to download 1.6 that you were under the impression that the dawnguard DLC was in the same package as 1.6 and you downloaded both and the code activates it.

To be honest, I really do want the beta code, but I'm not losing sleep over it as it seems everyone is stressing because Bethesda hasn't given them any news yet. Then there's the people who are trying to kiss ass by saying 'they love glitch hunting' and ' I'll report all the bugs and everything love me Bethesda'. Just be patient, bare in mind that not that many people are aware of the beta, so you might just have a chance of getting in. chill out. Also, staying up till 6am just to find out if you get a piece of DLC or not is kinda bordering on obsessive.

Anyways to clear up the download speculation:

What was meant is that bethesda could -upload- both the patch and the beta to microsofts servers at the same time to prepare for the beta and save money.
This would -not- mean it downloaded with 1.6, which obviously didnt happen as the expansion will likely be more than 1gb. It means it is in microsofts server where they can get the download ready for when the codes go out.
