They are editing the sun to create a hospitable sun for vampires, not destroy it, watch the trailer and read the forum carefully.

They could be changing themselves to be immune to the effects of sunlight? Or like stated above edit the sun to not harm vampiric life. That if their not blotting it out all together. Prices of mushrooms will skyrocket...

It occurred to me that if the vampires succeed in blotting out the sun, all the plantlife will die, and everything else will eventually starve, leaving them with nothing to feed on. That's if the planet doesn't freeze solid first.

They really didn't think this through, did they?
You know the sun isn't really a giant ball of fission helium and hydrogen, right? It's actually a giant hole in Oblivion to the Aetherius that Magnus created when feeling from the creation of Mundus (the mortal world)

Whatever the plan is, I hope it at least transforms the sun into something that will be unsettling to all of the people on Nirn. Turn them into little winter depressed danes.

Seeing as how a lot of people were flipping a giant [censored] when Lorkhan/Shezarr/Shor's celestial bodies (the moons) disappeared for a bit, I have a feeling a good portion of Nirn would go completely nuts.

Okay everybody, I stand corrected. What they're really going to do is open a wormhole between dimensions, and kidnap the guy who invented sunscreen.

Falmer survive without sunlight. :twirl:

lol  Hideous, blind creatures, hating everything above world, probably including vampires.
They're probably insane with only talking to dwarven creations
Anyone think the vampires are working for a Daedric Lord  Or being manipulated XD

The vampires are probably servants of Molag Bal, the Lord of Domination, based on the seal on the Lord's armor.

Also, the first thing i thought of when they said that the tyranny of the sun will end is that vampires will no longer feel its power and be able to go out in the sun.

Yeah! I noticed the same like, fountain thingy Molag Bal had in his shrine in the trailer.
I really hope this DLC turns out to be a world of fun, just like Shivering Isles did :liplick:

Dawnguard ARE the bad guys!

I hope not. I liked how neither the Stormcloaks or the Imperials are perfectly good or evil, but when it comes to vampires VS guardians of light I'd like the vampires to be evil. They're cursed vile creatures that have to hurt others to survive.

If i'm roleplaying a vampire then it has to be a real vampire, I don't do Twilight.

Aha! Then they'll spray it into the atmosphere, blocking out the sun and causing an ice age. Which they will survive with their frost resistance.

Which in no way implies it isn't neccessary for warmth and life on Nirn.

Shush! Do not question perfect vampire logic.

This.

And for the Werewolf lovers... we Vampires told you that the night belongs to us.

The vampires are probably servants of Molag Bal, the Lord of Domination, based on the seal on the Lord's armor.

Also, the first thing i thought of when they said that the tyranny of the sun will end is that vampires will no longer feel its power and be able to go out in the sun.

This.

I think that this strain (my theory is that their the original strain of vamps created by Molag Bal...) is going to use an Elder Scroll and some kind of forbidden magic to erase the weaknesses that the sun holds for them. To be able to walk around with full powers and capabilities regardless of the time of day.

But I'm most excited that my Dunmer Vampire won't have to rely on sleeping people to feed. :D

Twilight is meh. A bunch of so called vampie refusing to eat their food and not accepting the natural order of things.

I hope it is like the Stormcloaks and the Imoperials, neither side "good" or "evil". Vampires are predators, and predators kill people to survive. It's not evil when a wolf kills a deer. But Bethesda has to do these vampires some justice.

IMO that black-red thing in the end of trailer, was a spell that enchances sun to make it's light harmless for vampires instead of disabling it.

Yes, the Sun is a rip in the Aetherius, and Magicka comes through that hole. The stars are the same. When you look at the blue sky, you see Magicka. When you look at the night sky, you see the Oblivion.

So, yeah, Earth physics and logic doesn't really apply here.

A wizard Magicka did it!
