Well, at least it seems like a realistic estimate, I thought 300 hours was stretching it.

Todd Howard explicitly stated that this DLC wasn't going to be as big as Shivering Isles. He said that a while back.

Am I the only one who think 2 weeks for a beta, seems really short? Kind of makes me wonder why there even having a beta.

May I see some credible evidence?

Shivering isles was considered a expansion pack, not dlc. For dlc, Dawnguard is pretty huge and long.

people need to realize this isn't a new game. It's just an expansion with more to come. 10-20 hours with more content is good with me. Let's just hope the questline doesn't blow.

If you're talking about Dishonored, that's only being published by Bethesda, not produced by them.

There are fallout DLCs that take 3-4 hours and cost 10 USD. Please continue, my good sir.. Also of all people I'm sure us forum-dwellers can stretch that to 30 hours, if not 40.

I'm going go Greece in the middle of June, and I'm going to be going back to Greece in August. That means that that I only have July for being home, and I will come back from my first trip to Greece at June 26th.

This made my day!!! : D

They've said countless times DLC won't be as big as Shivering Isles, but substantially bigger than the other Oblivion DLC. The fact that some people are complaining that 20 hours, a massive vampire playstyle enhancement, two new questlines/factions, new mounts, new monsters, new locations, new AI (Dragons diving underwater/ breaking through walls), along with the weapon people have been whineing about since Morrowind, is absolutly rediculous

People who compares the playtimes of Skyrim to games like Bioshock and Call of Duty are idiots. You can't compare the effort to make one hour of Call of Duty to Skyrim, to make one hour of a Call of Duty campaign is completly different to Skyrim.

Dawnguard have to compare with Skyrim. And I have paid for my Skyrim Pc version 45€, and I have to pay for this Dawnguard DLC 20€.
But it have considerably less play time (Skyrim has an averange playtime of more than 100 hours). So the playtime have to be more intensive then the main game or it have to add also many other things, that are don't included in the 10-20 hours playtime. If not, this DLC isn't a good deal.

And sorry for my english.

20 hours is not huge? Are you crazy?

Some $60 singleplayer games that come out today are not even 20 hours.
Exactly..people buy call of blops and get a 8 hour campaign for 60 bucks. This DLC is more than worth the 20 bucks and has enough content for more than 20 hours.

They said Skyrim was 300 hours.. My Skyrim was like 130 hours and i did like everything.. Its 300 hours to read every book very slowly and if you haven't figured out about the warp system and that you can run in the game..

To me it is worth 10 dollars at that.. Probably less.. What I see from other developers is them giving out this size DLC for free..

10-20 hours is nice. More than most games these days. Thoughts?

Perhaps 10-20 hours if you just do the main Dawnguard quest from start to finish.

However, clearly there are features of the DLC that significantly impact your experience in the rest of the game world. So it's going to enhance the gameplay for the complete playthrough.

They said Skyrim was 300 hours.. My Skyrim was like 130 hours and i did like everything.. Its 300 hours to read every book very slowly and if you haven't figured out about the warp system and that you can run in the game..

In my case, I've played well over 500 hours and still have not touched the Dark Brotherhood, Imperial Legion or Bard's College questlines and have not finished the Thieves' Guild or College of Winterhold.
