Does anyone that bought it on release still play Skyrim?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 1:32 am

Don't see how anyone can call Skyrim a boring game but I have taken breaks to play other games as well, rotating between games tends to help keep them fresh.

Still playing. As long as I have an entertaining build, I'll never get bored of Skyrim. Problem is, I'm quickly running out of entertaining builds, which is why I was so looking forward to the DLC. But now I've preordered Diablo 3 which I had great fun with in the open beta, so as soon as that comes out, my soul will belong to Blizzard (again) and I probably won't touch Skyrim until the GotY edition with all the DLCs bundled.

I'm taking a break at the moment but I'll be playing again real soon. I expect to be playing Skyrim for years to come.

I bought it a month after release and am still playing. Granted, my builds are getting weirder and weirder, and I'm starting to resort to achievement hunting (360 user)

Will problably buy it in a few months for PC and mess around with mods for a while.

I played once recently and that was because of the 1.5 update. It didn't change much so I have reshelved the game. It is pretty boring at the moment. Dlc with new official quests and features can't come soon enough. After completing practically all the quests it becomes very boring. Not a large variety of weapons and armour and limited enemy types.

I didn't play it from release week until the CK was released. Now I play again. Like Oblivion, mods are the only thing that saved this game for me.

Been playing since release and still not close to done. No MQ, no civil war, and just starting the Companions. A couple of restarts and experimental characters early on, but I have been playing my primary for months now. I just play slow. Lots of steal, limited fast travel, etc. Still play a little almost every day.

Didn't get it until Xmas but I've put in over 1100 hours now and I'm still enjoying it.
End of May onwards I'll be playing a lot less as I'm starting a course but until then I anticipate I'll still be playing it a lot.

1100 hours since XMas means you have been playing 9 hours/day average every day since then.

Yes, with caveats. I bought the game for the 360 on 11/11/11. Played through into January - several false starts and 1 major Orc fighter character called Rhas AlGhul. I then switched to playing ME2, then ME3 when it released ...

After that ...situation... I started playing Skyrim on the 360 again, with several new false start characters. Finally got tired of waiting for the latest patch for 360 when the PC 1.5 patch was already out, so I traded in the 360 version and bought the PC version. Boy was I missing out playing the 360 version (love, love, love the mods - USKP, UFO, CBBE, URWL, etc). Still had a couple of false start characters, but finally found 1 I like so far (Drusilla Darkbourne - pure mage but has just discovered she's a vampire - Vampire Overhaul mod). Haven't stopped since switching to PC version.

Yes I do but not all the time. I play several times a week but never for long stretches like I did when I first got it. Right now though I'm holding off for the Kinect addition. I have a mage I'm playing and I'm hoping it will help make spell selection more fun.

Yes.

I took a break for a while, as it's just so vast to begin with, it's hard to take in. But now it's not so daunting.

I finished the MQ only this Month for the 1st time, and i'm about to finish the Imperial side of the war for the 1st time.

I've only completed 3 guilds to date, Companions, Thieves & Mages. I havent done The DB all the way.

Once i've seen how things are once the War ends, i'll no doubt start a character that will just roam Skyrim, No MQ or siding with the War either way.

I was around the 100 hour mark when I decided I was done and traded it to a friend for a couple of games. Heavy Rain, Unchartered 2, and Demon's Souls for Skyrim... couldn't pass that up.

Yes, I realize I'm behind the times. I only recently got a PS3.

mah 300+ hours, decided to start modding, ran into some set backs back in march, haven't played it since. its still on my comp though  I'm bored and thats not good, and no 300 hours don't mean squat when much of that was pretty uneventful...or rather steam has a lol way of calculalting play time

With Guild Wars 2 on Friday I haven't even been able to look at Skyrim because it lacks in areas Bethesda presented as their selling points like Dynamic events and you can find better and more persistent world within a MMO.
