Does anyone that bought it on release still play Skyrim?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 8:41 am

I pre-ordered it on steam, Pre-downloaded it, and got to play it at 9:00 pm on November 10th. I get bored of it sometimes but overall it is still a fun game. I just wish that new stuff gets added to it fast.

Nope. Went back to Morrowind months ago, which is simply a much better game with regards to replay value. Patiently awaiting DLC which is worth returning to Skyrim for.

Is that your total playtime? Do you play on one character or play on more then one?

According to xbox live stats on their website its my total playtime... though I have reason to doubt microsoft's info. I'm not near the xbox atm.

I have 3 characters so far:
My character I started the game with and completed a little of everything and all the guilds just to get a taste (lvl 57)
A Khajiit archer who worked his way to becoming a nightingale (Khajiit look pretty epic in nightingale armor.) (about lvl 30)
My Current character is a stereotypical nord. Distrusting magic (except healers) doesn't use higher end elven/glass/etc. (currently lv 40 and still using a steel sword and wolf armor) <--- Having an AMAZING time roleplaying this one. (about lvl 40)

I still have not gone through the Dark brotherhood (as I normally play a good character, even my theive's guild khajiit disfavored murder / only stole from jerks.)
my Nord is going to be my main character I play through DLC with, if it still doesn't come for a while I may start up an assassin to have something to do. I haven't even touched the dark brotherhood questline yet, though I hear it is one of the best scripted in the game.

Got it at midnight release, and while I don't play much because I spend 90% of my waking time modding it; but I guess that counts as playing it. :D

I bought it the day after release, and I'm still playing. I have three characters, a Breton conjure-destructo mage, an Orc berserker and I'm currently playing a Dunmer pyromancer/thief.

Yep. I'm still finding sidequests I haven't completed. I play other games in between, and sometimes I'll go weeks without playing, but yeah, I still play Skyrim.

Not really... but it's more because my five year old Xbox took a dump and I lost all my save data.

Starting a new character seems so daunting now...

I'm waiting for DLC to arrive to start again.

Yep. I got it on release day and I've been playing it pretty regularly. I've taken a few weeks off of it every now and then, but I keep coming back to it trying new and different things.

I bought this game the day it was released. I just couldn't wait because I just love The Elder Scrolls.

And as I said before, I still play the game, as http://youtu.be/eccz12y4zhA?hd=1

In the YouTube video you will also see the best looking Wood Elf in the world, uhu.

Thats a negative. I've stopped playing about a while ago. Exploration becomes a bore when you know what to expect, and the quests are really not that interesting, considering they have really only one streamlined way of doing them. I don't know, Skyrim was fun to play for a few weeks, but I can definitely catagorize it as a shelved game until DLC. The sad thing tho is that Oblivion to me was never ever catagorized as a shelved game. Oh well.
