You're kidding, right? If you are so unhappy with Skyrim and the DCLs, why did you even buy it??? Or are you just out for a (s)troll?

Lol, I see what you did there...

My dragon will glitch out sometimes and fly about Skyrim randomly. I can even target-lock around the world. Free-roam is definitely working for me!

Wrong. THEY CAN'T DO FREE ROAM FOR CONSOLES. PERIOD. And no, I don't think they should've left it out because its not free roam. As it stands it is still fun and useful. If you don't like it, fine. Hush up about it and do something else. I'll be enjoying the smell of burned imperial flesh upon my scaley steed.
They could have done free roam on consoles. They didn't want to. Instead, they decided to half-ass it.

As for glitches, what do you expect for a game this big? I have a pretty smooth experience for the most part, and don't forget this dlc IS coming to ps3...
What do I expect? It's been out for over a year now. I expect a lot of them to be fixed.

Do you know what mod authors have to agree to before they're able to use the Creation Kit? That anything and everything done with it belongs to Bethesda.

That's the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. It fixes most of the bugs players constantly complain about, and them some. Oh, and it also belongs to Bethesda.

They have the resources. They have the time. Why don't they do anything?

Laziness. They'd rather be developing bugged DLCs to sell for loads of $$$ so that they can scurry off to developing the next buggy Fallout game for even more $$$.

Consoles can handle it. It's entirely possible to do on consoles. Yes, even the PS3.

The people on PC already made a fix for a lot of bugs and glitches in Skyrim. Since it was created using the Creation Kit, Bethesda owns it. They could (if they wanted to) use it to create a patch for all three platforms.

You're right. Patches do cost money. They need to pay all the staff, and probably even Microsoft and Sony to push the patches through. But hey, guess what? They've released 3 DLC's so far. They have the money.

.. but they're lazy.

Ugh, 1. No, consoles can't handle it, mainly for bugs, crashes caused by loading cells fast from flight, and the illusion of a big world would be broken. 2. How do you not see the difference between developing a dlc that will bring in money, and developing FREE patches? And for ALL consoles? PC modders only have to deal with one, and it costs them NOTHING, and its something they do on their spare time, unlike Beth who has to pay, do it for all consoles, and take up working time to do it with no cash flow back to them.

Consoles can handle it. Why is it that you think they can't? The problem is that flying over a major city will completely break immersion, and possibly cause other, unintended issues -- but that just means they won't do it, and not that can't be done.

Are you not reading my posts? The fix is already there. All Bethesda has to do is make it work for consoles and send it to Microsoft and Sony. What's making you think that it'd take them all the time in the world to accomplish?

And I do see the difference in making money and taking responsibility for your product. Apparently you don't, or just don't care (like Bethesda).

So, basically what you're saying is that you acknowledge that it would cause a lot of problems, but it's lazy for them not to put it in despite this just because they have the capability of putting it in. What are you smoking? Do you not see the flaw in that? Lol, I'm done beating a dead horse. I read your posts, are you reading mine? Better yet, are you reading any of the many many posts saying why consoles can't handle free roaming dragon flying? Whatevs, as I said, I'm done beating a dead horse.

No, I haven't read any of the posts that state why consoles can't handle free roaming dragon mounts. Why? Because no one here has actually tried it. Consoles are perfectly capable of handling such a thing. However, the game was designed in a way that limited exactly this type of feature -- major cities having their own world spaces being the most obvious problem.

That doesn't mean the only option Bethesda was left with was to go half-ass on dragon mounts. They really should have left them out completely and went for something that wasn't nearly as cheesy or watered-down.

search engine please. Not sure why people actually expected free roam. It's not gonna happen with the current consoles. Even without it, dragonriding is very fun. Try attacking a fort or whiterun in the civil war. You may change your tune.

Well Todd Howard said himself that they would not implement dragon riding into the game unless they could do it properly. Being able to ride on the back of one with absolutely no control... I would not call that properly. It's just a tease of the greatness that it could have achieved.

I would have been much happier if they had just left it out so that I wouldn't be sitting there wishing that it wasn't such a pointless waste of time that they could have spent making animations for, say, spears, or another quest, or anything really. It's that much worse too, because they gave you a brief taste of how much fun steering and controlling them actually is and then when you're all stoked to go try it
out somewhere in the world it's just a giant let down.

If it is a case of engine limitations then they shouldn't have even included it because this is just another case of getting everyones hopes up and then having them crash down around us.

I'm not saying that I myself am that upset about it (I am admittedly a little miffed which is why I'm here writing this) but this is the kind of thing that makes the community go into a mass uproar and then every comment you read about Skyrim is about "how much I hate Bethesda for not catering to my every will and whim".

I still think Skyrim is one of the best games there ever was or will be, but I disagree with with how they implemented this feature. I think it was more or less just giving in to the demands of people in the Skyrim community asking for it which Bethesda shouldn't have to do.
It should have been a one time only thing when fighting mirrak. It's kinda lame in vanilla skyrim, but fighting mirrak after flying to him on dragon back is a epic expueriance, and that's what it's all about. As for vanilla, I don't even use the feature.

Just stop with these worthless posts complaining about people not being 100% happy with the DLC. Unlike you, there are people that actually SPEAK UP and let their opinion be known. Bethesda is not going to be able to improve unless people give them feedback, good or bad.

Say what now? I'm not complaining about people not liking the dlc, Einstein. I'm not even complaining. I SPEAK UP against those who keep harping on one aspect of a dlc CHUCK FILLED with content. You say MY posts are worthless? Take a good look at these "Wah dragonriding" threads, and see whose posts are truly worthless.

In what universe does it make sense to complain and say something svcks over one little thing? What if I said Halo 4 svcks because I thought forge blew? Do you see how silly that is?

Ok to people who keep saying that if they really wanted to make dragon riding really controlable they would need to remake the engine and such, I say this; Ever played GTA or another open world game where you can take a plane from one end of the map to another? Seriously, does Bethesda not even have the tools to do that? GTA 5 is gonna have planes, jets, and other air craft and the map for that is gonne be fraking HUGE. Yet they still use the same engine as they have for every game. And Skyrim cant even handle you riding your dragon whenever you want? Besides, doesnt it kinda do the same thing even when your not controlling it? The world still loads cause your dragons not gonna stay flying in one spot, whats the difference?

GTA is a whole different beast altogether. Yea it is huge, but take into account that each and every building is not explorable, and the side quests if you can call them that are not as lengthy, there's not locations upon locations that you can actually go into and explore, etc. In other words, they have a lot less actual content in their game. Most of the game is just main quest and graphics. So they have a lot less to worry about when talking about things like loading up new areas quickly and what not. Basically, if they made Skyrim like GTA, the actual land would be a lot less detailed (talking explorable areas like dungeons and caves, not graphics), and not filled with nearly as much content. All for the sake of adding fully controlled dragons.
