Can you elaborate on that?
The spiderbot stood in front of the ball in teh wall, and then the ball began to glow a little.

I don't know if this have been covered or not (mainly because I haven't taken the time to read the 2nd thread), but I used a wooden plate to glitch into the machine and it's empty :L

Could we summarize what is known?

Also, maybe post a thread when it is solved, if ever?
you guys are overthinking this, there's nothing to solve...it's either an unfinished feature or something put in to intentionally mess with minds

edit: I cracked the safe! there's a become werebear potion inside and a 2h spear with a note from beth saying "fooled ya" :P

Since the chair is facing the device I think its maybe some sort of veiwing stone, thats right "dwarf TV" after all who does not like reality shows.you use this thing to spy on people going about there daily lifes. Why go out when you can watch Vex take a bath from the comfort of this fine made dwafen chair, and since people can't see you spying on them they are not going to get mad and start stabbing you with big knives. oh I wonder who's on the stone to night???????? :user: :user: :user:

What would be awesome Is if they baught out a future dlc and the device in the guys basemant was actually some safe holding device and when the battle between the snow elves and the Nords happens some of the dwemer and elves hid in it and that have been living in the sphere which is some doctor who type device (small on the outside but big on the inside) and that have lived there all this time. That would be ace cause I've always been fascinated by the dwemers and the snow elves

Leading the Dwarven Sphere in did nothing.

EDIT: Neither the Spider nor Vision of the Tenth Eye does anything either.

Did you try the spider like that earlier guy? That post wasn't a troll, was it?

I can't say this leads much of anywhere. If the plate glitch revealed nothing, then I don't think there's much else to it.

I think the Dwemer machine is possibly a time portal.

Perhaps what happens is that the Dovahkiin goes crazy trying to figure out what exactly the machine is doing and becomes a thrall of Hermaeus Mora in the process. Eventually Hermaeus Mora opens the device, which is really a time portal to ancient times and the Dovahkiin steps through it and becomes the evil Miraak. He chooses not to defeat Alduin at the time because his mind has grown to be quite insane.

In other words, in Dragonborn we are fighting a version of ourselves that got svcked into a time portal into the distant past and became an insane thrall of Hermaeus Mora. Female Dovahkiins would have a six change while going through the portal using some strange Dwemer magic.

Has anyone tried opening all three Elder Scrolls, while dropping all five of the bug jars in the room, while having a character that possesses a handlebar mustache, while simultaneously pressing Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B and A? If not, that could be the trick to opening it.
I fell from my seat laughing.

When I encounter this place and like all of you tried to open that "thing" with no progress and a song popped in my head during it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cw6bgdJlth0

Then I realized the NPC involved with the quest was listening to this song (and we've became that NPC).

*Perhaps an indirect Easter Egg???*

Pick up a wooden plate or platter with A (button), hold it out in front of you and run toward the wall you want to glitch through. It's the 360 version of 'no clip'.

I've gotten it to work with buckets as well, if there are no plates nearby. :)

Just like the tcl command though doing that won't trigger doors. If you walk through a locked door into a ruin for example, you'll just end up standing smack in the middle of the mountain behind it rather than the ruin, so bugging or cheating your way in, doesn't necessarily prove anything.

i dont know if you guys knew this or not , it has nothing to do with the dwemer device though. at neloths place , in the womans part of the mushroom, i think she cooks or makes potions... there is a hidden chest under the floor... i glitched when i went in there and i was under the floor, nothing good was in the chest though

I am not advocating use of this glitch, just answering their question. S/he asked what it was and I explained it.
The only time I use tcl (on the computer) is when I get stuck in a rock or something and can't fast travel away.
Apologies for getting off topic... I think I'll go play Dragonborn now.
