>_>...Still Spoilers dude...

I don't think they are, Although I may be biased considering I'm one of those people who will watch a movie even if someone told me all the details because I prefer to immerse myself in the game/movie and I'll still enjoy myself as much as I would knowing less. :tops:

Yeah me too, but you just have to be considerate to other people. I almost didn't click that because I didn't want to see any of the Witty Quest Names they have...spoiled it for myself there.

Hmmm, I'm going to assume Veni, Vidi, Vici is a Ceasar's Legion quest -- perhaps it contains conquering the entire Mojave? :D

Also, 'Come Fly With Me' and Arizona Killer sounds interesting...

Yeah, flying a vertibird (or some other suitable aircraft) sounds fun to me.

They look awesome... dammit, that's not even the entire list of achievements (or at least I hope not) and I'm already twice as pumped for October 22nd.

STOP TEASING ME! RELEASE THE GAME! :banghead:

Well I knew I was gonna be disappointed. The achievements are complete crap.
Achievements my ass, if you don't have to work for them then they're not achievements.
I'm just going to pray to Sir Frempt that there are little to no more disappointments in New Vegas.

It's probably the whole list, but I really hope it's not.

Sorry for he double post, but is it possible that 'Return to Sender' is the quest in which you kill Benny?

And Gabriel, you have to play a load of different paths to gat all the achievements. How is that 'not working'?

What's with the Sinatra reference?

Most of the achievements on the list are things that "you will get eventually" without even trying.
Even if I have to start up a different character it doesn't mean it's a good achievement if I don't have to work for it.
I'm not in the best shape, if I were to start working out and lose some weight and gain some muscles, that would be an achievement for me.
Trying to get a drivers license and passing would be an achievement.
Going to take a shower on the other hand is not an achievement.

Looks like another game where I don't care about achivements.

Though some of the names were smirk-worthy. :D

Are you serious? I thought it was quite obvious...

It was a song by Sinatra (who is a very important figure in Vegas's history)... and in the mission maybe you fly? :P In any case, I like the name of the quest.

It seems to me like there sure is a lot of missions in the main quest, but I get the feeling not all of them will be accessible in one playthrough, as they're specific for each faction.

>_>...Still Spoilers dude...Some people may not want to know the quest names, that spoils it for them....

Also, Yeah I know who you could side with, now we know how(somewhat) it's done. Assuming Ring-a-ding-ding is the quest that is the decider for you.

Then the title of the thread should make it to where they don't read the thread anyways.

More so on topic, the achievements look a little tedious, especially "Heal 10,000 points of health with food." Hopefully, food heals more than 5.

The achievements seem decently hard to get. You'd probably have to play through two or three times to get them all, which is all you really should have to do. It's just unfair to make achievements nearly impossible to get. Completing World at War on Veteran is just ridiculous. There were times when three grenades were thrown my way at the same time. Not fun. I'd say that having achievements that "you'll get eventually" is a good thing.

Well then they aren't achievements then are they?
More like a checklist.

Yes, that's also a Sinatra song, but he wrote another called 'Come Fly With Me'. :)

I agree with you. There's nothing in that list that's really an achievement. Although healing 10,000 with food might take a while. But seems that with enough time nobody should have any trouble obtaining everything. As long as they play through on HC.

Another note... I've noticed:
Spoiler
There are only 20 achievements for 'complete this......' -- Does that mean there are only 20 quests to the main story line?

I like how they added these achievements for melee and unarmed and foodhealing this will encourage others to try different playthroughs and characters.

Also the Know when to Fold'Em for winning caravan 10 times means or confirms that it is some sort of poker variant.

That was already announced.

Well it might be that once you complete a main quest you get 2 sidequests which you need to complete before you're allowed to meet the guy who gives you the next main quest.

We associate point values with achievements to reflect the relative difficulty of gaining them. gabriel77dan's Herculean Workout Regimen is worth 100, gabriel77dan's Morning Shower is worth 10.

Doesn't matter to me how many points are given for them, just that almost all of them are too easy to get.
A select few should be extremely hard to get, 20% should be things you will eventually get and all in between should be stuff you have to work for.
Josh, not even you can change my mind on this.
Achievements are not achievements if they are too easy to get.

But who knows, maybe you guys have tweaked the game to the extreme so that these actually might be hard to get.
But I highly doubt it.

Whatever, I heard you guys had some thing called "Challenges", I hope at least some of them are hard to complete. :)

Maybe, that would be cool. I never just follow the critical path anyways, and there's probably going to be a lot more side quests with NV.

It's possible it might be tweaked that way. I mean, 10,000 points in something might be hard to obtain?
