Vegas stratosphere (? who knows what it really is in NV land)... Maybe Vegas didn't deal with a direct hit due to not having much strategic value? Surrounded by enough targets of real value to figure the city would be choked off by surrounding blasts/radiation. (Hoover Dam, etc)
I wouldn't worry about all the lights. The video was 'shot' at night, so if there hadn't been any lights, we wouldn't have been able to see the city. It probably was that lit to make it show up in the darkness. A special effect, if you will.
NCR was a lot more advanced on the tech tree than what we saw from DC. Seeing lights there shouldn't be jarring as some of the light sources we saw in FO3. (Thank you for the conveniently placed undying lights in underground tunnels/subways!)
Meh, there isn't much to dissect further, so I wont. What I did notice is that in the background, while the robot was scavenging, there were odd looking trees or plants in the background. I don't think those could be extremely deformed trees or cacti, but they may be. It'd be nice if they were living though.
can someone explain more about this NCR flag because some of us havent played fo1 and fo2
NCR is the new california republic. In Fallout 1 there was a small settlement of survivors called Shady Sands, in Fallout 2 they'd grown into NCR, in Van Buren they were supposed to be a major power battling it out with the BOS. You can read a more detailed (accurate) account at the wikia. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/NCR

We had cities in Fallout 1 & 2, New Reno is a good example. It may not be in it's former glory, but it's not some shanty town like Megaton was. I for one am excited to see something like this as I felt Fallout 3 was a bit lacking in the city department.
And thus, Bethesda's hype machine has started. Fasten your seat belts.
:P
The only thing I can "anolyze" right away... is that the nightsky uses exactly the same texture as Fallout 3's. Oh, and that it's the same trailer "style" as Fallout 1's and Fallout 3's.
Now all I need is information to see what the game is really about.
I wonder if he's wearing a gasmask because the sand is heavily radiated again? In Wasteland there were vast stretches of desert that not only were severely draining you (and forcing you to carry around a canteen at all times), but you could also stumble into radiated fields, which would slowly kill you from radiation poisoning.
