Do you really think that the guy in the black trenchcoat and freaky mask/helment, with the omninous music in the background, is the Protagonist??

I see a pipboy. =]

It's fallout the whole series has an ominous feel to it and look at all that dust flying around I would wear a mask too if I could scavenge one. But who knows! Hehe.

Good idea. But I'm too lazy to carry all my already-done speculating into that thread. Maybe some overeager moderator could merge the threads somehow? :P

No, but what else should we call him? Random Menacing Wastelander #20074?

...with a pipboy on his left arm, or someone who founda pip-boy. :P

Concerning the power on New Vegas, in Wasteland, the very first "Fallout" game, Vegas had its own power station. So it might have stayed there.

I really hope that there is a good armor with this trenchcoat or better yet that it can be equipped on-top of most armors. There was severe lack of cool trenchcoats in F3...

As to lighting a settlement up - with all the fission batteries, purifying plants, robots, etc. around it is a wonder why settlements in F3 _weren't_ electrified.

VERY Nicely done.

when i saw the NCR flag i woke up my neighbors...

Same here...

When I saw that flag, I smacked my desk 5 times, run in circle shouting "WHOOOOOOO!!!", punched my wall 3 times while staring with psYcho eyes to my mirror, and then I laughed maniacally like some mad scientist...

I live in an apartment, go figure... :D

Nice. So I wonder will the game world have more high-tech cities or will it be mostly desert.

What we knew before the trailer:
There will be a game called Fallout: New Vegas made by Obsidian using the FO3 engine and probably released in 2010. It will involve locations and themes from FO 1/2.

What we know after the trailer:
Pretty much the same thing.

Real news will be gameplay footage or a release date to within a week.

I'm totally in awe right now, and wish I were home to throw Fallout 3 in my Xbox 360. This game cannot come soon enough.

Indeed. Those are the news I'm waiting for. :)
As with Oblivion and Fallout 3, GameInformer has exclusivity in terms of "first news"

Wasn't FO: NV supposed to have been released by now? I could've sworn that when 'Fallout 3' came out that "NV" had a release date of Q1 2010 but anyway for now (at least) - color me unimpressed by that. I'm so tired of seeing pre-rendered CG teasers/trailers that usually in no way shape or form even remotely represent what the final product turns out to be.
So, for now it's back to FO 3/Oblivion - hopefully around E3 they'll release trailers that contain "actual" gameplay, so that we can really see how this is going to turn out. I must admit though, that city scape looks damn cool.. hopefully it'll be fully explorable too. Can't wait for E3 now.. Later Dudes.

As I mentioned above, Game Informer has exclusivity for new info it seems. So until this month's issue is released, we'll most likely not have any info.
Like it had exclusivity with Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Game Informer and Bethesda like making money together, that's for sure. :D
