Yes, Tiber Septim could have been a Nord born in Skyrim(though he was as short as a Breton and lived as long as one so that doesn't work). Confusion comes in where books say he is from Atmora(rubbish since it had long been deserted at that time).

There is a reason why the Arcturisn Heresy is regarded as the most likely truth, not including the fact that it was essentially confirmed in-game with the ghost of Old Hrodlan(I swear I spelt this wrong).

Well we shouldn't trust the book that says he is from Atmora, it was the first pocket guide after all, also shouldn't the fact that there are records stating he was born in high rock, was as tall as a Breton and had the life span of one further prove he wasn't actually a nord? Usually nords don't look like Bretons or age as fast as them.

Ya i know what you mean. I really only act as the dragonborn should on my nord character, using shouts, fight for the stormcloaks, etc like a nord should. But on my orc and dunmer characters, i RP using different playstyles, foregoing shouts and fighting against the stormcloaks or completely ignoring the civil war and MQ entirely. But it adds to the replay value knowing that I must restrain myself from doing certain things and going to certain places because my character wouldn't do those things. This is a role-playing game after all.

Tiber Septim was born in Alcaire, Atmora is a fabrication and imperial propaganda.

"Alcaire is a region on the southern coast of the province High Rock. Hjalti Early-Beard (Also known as Tiber Septim) was born in Alcarire according to the book http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Arcturian_Heresy."

I never heard paarthurnax say that. I thought he said "Don't greet me as man but as a dovah" or something along those lines.

if ur a elf khajiit orc or argonian he will say differently.
that's the unique only speech the game implemented where ur race means something during the main quest
i played as a bosmer once and he told me Dont greet me as a elf but as a dovah
and if my memory doesnt fail me he said dont greet me as a khajiit when i played as a khajiit for the first time in skyrim

Can people stop quoting UESP please, it gives you zero credibility in matters of Lore, Imerial Library is the go-to point.

Also, I didn't see their name but who was the person who said Skyrim still trades with Atmora? Where the hell did you get that from? Your confusing Hjati with Ysgramor(not that guy who lead the 500 companions like the angry guy called him).

No one has come from Atmora in eons, the last ship left there centuries ago.

Im not angry, its just some of your posts are made out to seem like you know it all, where you actually don't.

I also never said anything about ships from Atmora, What I was trying to say was no one knows exactly where Tiber Septim is definitely from.

You can think he's a nord, but having seen concept art of General Talos and the king of atmora makes me more on the Tiber Septim from Skyrim seems more likely.

I'm an Imperial, I feel fine with it. Now if I was a Kajiit or Aronian, that might be kind of strange.

I feel nothing wrong with being a Non-Nord Dragonborn. It's ironic, forcing the people to swallow their pride and xenophobia. One thing I do find odd is how an Argonian sounds just like a Nord when shouting.

And, OP, you talk about how when your character does ALL the guilds, and do EVERY quest, you feel that it is more than one Man/Mer/Khajiit/Beast could do. Why not just avoid them? Your not forced to do all the guild quests. One guild per character is rather reasonable.

And for all you wanting a source on Talos being a Breton, you won't find it. Talos is three men. But since most people believe Talos=Tiber, you would like to know that http://www.imperial-library.info/content/arcturian-heresy-0 is the source of Tiber being a Breton. Practically confirmed with the Ghost of Old Hroldan.

true it feel genually strange..to be an outsider and yet take the role of the hero from people of the land ur invading..
kinda didnt made sense there what i said..
What makes it weird for me is that they handled it so well in Morrowind. By all rights you should have felt weird playing as a Dunmer, for me it actually made the main quest more epic when it was another race working to become accepted.

No I don't feel weird, there has been other Dragonborns in the past. Just because it's a nord legend doesn't mean a nord has to be the dragonborn.

dont you all feel the same way?
the game puts u in a position of being this new legend reborned dragonborn
you are hereby the true legend of all ancient "Nords"
if you guys listen to one of the bard songs they sing about how the ancient nord hero the dragonborn will come to save us all
so it feels awkward to me when im slaying dragons, absorbing their power and even interacting with paarthumax, the greybeards etc when im like let's say a khajiit or a elf etc...
just how much out of place does it feel ? to be the legendary nord hero the ultimate dragon slayer..yet..you play as a female khajiit or a orc or a dumner or a female argonian..it feels so out of touch..
i mean this more in specifically to the non human races..but even as a breton or a imperial it kinda seems not to fit right well...do you all feel the same way I do?
I feel like this story has to be for a nord male only..maybe a female too but mostly a male nord..
yes i get it this is the land of skyrim the nord's home but why must it be all so self centered around the old nord's storyline? I feel so out of touch playing with a different race it almoust makes me wanna quit playing the main storyline..

So you imagine this?

Akatosh: Hmm, what race should I give thu'um to? khajiit? No, Wood Elf? No, Orc?, No, High Elf? No, Dark Elf? Nah, Argonian? Nope, Redguard? Nah, Breton? Nope, Imperial? Maybe, Nord? Definitely yeah

You do realize that Akatosh does not care which race he gives a soul of a dragon.

I thougt i read in one of the in game books that akatosh seeded all the races with his blood soo i dont see how it's too weird. Maybe the other races call the dragon born somthing else in their lands. Just as in real life some myths are shared with other cultures and are only slightly different from each other.

Well, I have yet to play a Nord. They have always seemed to default, even before they were the default. It is all about how you RP. In my first character, I didn't RP. I just took the story as is so I could plan future characters. I have come up with a few scape goats as to why your character is dragon born.

1. Very Powerful Mage - learned to project magic through voice and casts the ultimate soul trap on Dragons (not that great, but it works)
2. Vampire - Has all of eternity to learn the words of power. Doesn't absorb Dragon Souls, but learns Shouts the hard way.
3. F*** Logic.

Doesn't bother me, if anything it pleases me to strut around as a Khajiit making all the Nords question their own beliefs.

I don't actually think he was raised in Skyrim, theres no real evidence of that in lore besides people claiming it, wasn't Tiber being raised in skyrim in the first pocket guide or something? Because honestly he didn't even start his conquest in skyrim and didn't actually conquer it until he conquered a few other provinces.
