It feels odd to play as the "dragonborn" when your n

It would be cool to choose the option to be Dragonborn or someone who knows the Thu'um well, like the Greybeards. I won't be able to absorb the souls of dragons but I can learn real quick.. by some means. Just another RP suggestion.

I have always played as a Nord or an imperial so it did seem like the story line fit those races much better. When I started my Argonian playthrough everything felt off with the story line and I felt like I shouldnt be playing that part.

It really shouldn't be a big deal. I mean the "unlikely hero" trope is extremely common in fiction. And if bethesda cut races everyone would call foul(including me). If anyhing the variety lends itself to role-playing and player initiated storytelling. Besides...you can be a kitty!
