There is also an SQL Error coming up within the Member Group, "Moderators", when attempting PM any of them, since you apparently must go through a path to the PM page by going into the Moderators' personal Profiles.

(I thought that I would try to call this to their attention.)

.

You could report this page, and then they'd come and check it out. I don't know if they'd know who submitted the report, but now since I gave you the idea, Im probably going to get the blame for it. :P

Yeah, it has been reported in the Admin forum. :) When IT wake up it will no doubt get sorted.

You can still PM via the envelope under the avatar in a post. Yes, we know who submitted reports - we know everything. :goodjob:

It seems the problem has been solved. :)

If anyone still experiences it, shout - although I am sure you will. ;)

Ok so now when I go and change my avatar it just doesn't change. I hit save after selecting the image and its a jpg. It even shows up in the avatar picture in the middle of the "edit my avatar" screen.

I see it, if you still don't see it clear your browser cache.

The only thing I like is being able to upload an avatar. The scrolling is horrible and irritates me. I don't see why I should have to mod any forum to make it more readable. Isn't that their web designer's job? I guess I should be accustomed to fixing Bethesda products but even the forums need fixed by the user. :shakehead:

Now that I'm not on an epically fast internet connection...

Yeah, these new forums lag. Hard.

My avatar no longer seems to be animated although it should be. I've seen others that are, but can't get mine to work right.

I had the same problem. You need to scale the GIF file down to 90x120 before upload. If you let BGSF scale it, it's only going to do the first frame.

EDIT: nevermind, it's completely nerfed now.

I imagine this has been covered at some point, however I'm unable to discover where.

The Facebook Connect is broken, which in itself doesn't really matter to me, however I'm curious as to how I remove my Facebook picture from being my profile picture given that there's no longer any way to edit Facebook Connect information.

I've tried updating my avatar, changing my profile picture from Facebook and deleting the application from Facebook. None of this makes any difference as it seems the last time the application accessed Facebook was near the beginning of December, essentially freezing it at that point.

I think the forums are slowly dying.

Running extremely slow at the moment.

EDIT: Actually seems to be fine now. For the past 30 minutes I was having trouble even connecting to the site.

God I hope not, I love this place. What would I do with my time? I'd be forced to...to...Go outside

I have that same problem at that same time (about 2:30 am) usually it's not a problem for me since I'm usually in bed at that time. It's nothing out of the ordinary, although I don't know why you can't get on at that time of day.

Oh yeah. The forums are always down for 10 or so minutes around 11:30 pm PST. But for some reason from 11:30 pm-12:00 am the website was not acting its normal self.

Folks, I am not entirely sure if this is the right thread to ask this, but I could not find a better one:

Is it possible to wirte/ edit/ format a post offline and then copy/ paste/ import it into the Beth forum editor (BE) and the formatting will show up correctly?

I'm involved in a project that requires the periodical editing and maintenance of a rather lenghty opening post of a thread, and editing that only from within the Beth editor is just not convenient. Ideally the text should be edited offline with either Word or OpenOffice (or Wordpad or whatever else). Of course formatting of the Word file must not go rampant as the formatting options of the forum editor are limited. But still, if one could get things like font sizes, lists and indents to work somehow it would be a big help.

I tried some things with the "Other styles" box at the top left of the BE window pane, but it created only garbage for me. I thought storing the .doc in .html or .xml format and somehow insert the text there might work, but anyway I was unable to get it working.

Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!

You could always just write the BBCode manually

I do it most of the time when I post here on the forums

Not sure if this has been mentioned:

the forums have spontaneously decided to start using my x-mass avatar. I had deleted it and uploaded my blue-and-white one a while ago, but today the forums decided to use my green-and-red one. Is this a known issue?

Does anyone elses's notifcation dropdown periodically not open correctly, and does anyone else have trouble seeing their most current (top) notification? Just kind of annoying to click on view all notifications to get to one, or to hit the link in settings

Sure, I thought of that. But it's not a terribly exciting prospect either. At least not until you put it into Word for the first time... :(

It happens to FalloutFTW a lot too. His avatar gets switched to an older one and back again pretty often.
