The one thing that irks me about it is the main portal not compressing the boards the next time when I get back on. I don't like scrolling and scrolling just to use my Greasemonkey CD link at the bottom.

People adding scripts for a CD link in the index? Who'd have thought?

For me they are always compressed.. I want the TES and Fallout ones permanently open, but they won't stay open! :P

It's been there since forever. I think it was Exorince who made it to begin with though. IIRC.

No it wasn't me. I stole the idea from some other dude on the forums who did it like a year ago.

Sarcasm detector fail. I was pointing out that users are creating custom code to insert links which the admins/mods decided through woefully flawed logic weren't needed.

And custom style sheets only really surfaced after the previous update removed the skin selector, which wasn't too long ago.

Well it's hard to detect sarcasm in text...

But yeah, the CD in the index thing, it was there before the latest update too.

Erm, need some search help here; I don't know what I'm doing differently from this morning or yesterday...

I click the advanced gear
Type rumblyguts
select forums
select community discussion
select "posts"
and then search....

I'm not getting any hits whereas I did before.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Rumbly

Are you selecting Community Discussion at the very bottom of the list? I got 108 hits on your name.

My Content is really slow on updating. Getting a bit difficult tracking where I've been.

One thing I have noticed since the update is I no longer get prompted to resubmit info when I refresh the page in a forum, which I got every time before the update. I was wondering why I inexplicably felt 10% less irritated!

I approve of the changes, for this obvious reason:

:bunny: :bunny: :bunny: :bunny: :bunny: :bunny: :bunny: :bunny: :bunny:

BTW - this mobile site: does that mean I can just read the forums on my mobile by typing www.gamesas.com? Or is it something like m.gamesas.com?

It's the normal url, www.gamesas.com, but you have to manually choose the theme in the bottom left corner.

I love the mobile version, really easy to browse on my itouch.

I am not amused :stare:

Actually... That is a pretty awesome "emote" Not really explored the new ones yet myself...

I have rediscovered invisi-text though. Except to you, custom skin/IPB people.

Don't think so looking at the dates, some say Yesterday and are way higher up the list than ones that say Today.
It'd be handy if it was in that order though.

On the topic of smilies, I'm not happy about the change for the thumbsup emoticon. Before the change, it was a detatched hand giving a thumbsup. Now it has a face to it that is winking. This makes it unsuitable to express approval (of, say, a modder's work) - the wink is not appropriate. I also dislike the new "wub" emote. The previous one, it kind of showed a smilie head "wubbing" whatever it was reading (some sort of paper in its hand). Now, the emote looks more like something I'd only use on Valentine's day:  Not cool. Again, I'm usually using this in the context of adding an emote to my praise of a modder's work.
Can we please add the puking emote? The one where the green face vomits and licks it up. I love that using that one in appropriate situations.

OK, i'm not too savvy with social networking, and it looks like this is what theforum is trying to become.

Before I start to ignore my notices...

What's gained by using notices?

Is there a way to turn it off, and/or are notices counted against my message space?

You need to express your feelings more, I always find if you wink at strangers they are so happy they kiss you in the street (on the cheek too). More wub in the street I say. OK I failed, you're right. Change them back.
