Now that we've had time with the game, let's hear about the stuff you never do. It can be game features, quests, places... Are they just not interesting to you or do you think they are unnecessary?

Me, I've never played caravan. Just don't care.

I've never used the Mojave Express drop boxes. Never felt a need.

I've never killed Tabitha. She (He? Whatever...) entertains me.

I've never snuck into the gunrunners. I LIKE Gunrunners.

Mojave Express boxes. (I just use companions for storage lol.)
I never do "Come Fly with Me" because I just hate that quest, I never finished it.
I never side with Powder gangers in the first quest.
And I don't like Lily. because she is boring.

Caravan, the Sneak skill, and siding with the NCR.

Item crafting, except Gecko Steaks. Too much hassle for too little reward.

Never once bothered with home-made ammo. Who cares? There's plenty of regular ammo and I never found anything I couldn't kill with it.

Never had Lily as a companion for more than about five minutes.

Caravan. The controls are just bewildering for that mini-game on the PC. If I could figure out how to do something with my cards, other than discarding them, I might take the time to learn the rules.

The Mojave Express drop boxes are quite useful if you live in places like Novac, Lucky 38 or Goodsprings. Nice to be able to "Fed-Ex" loot you want to keep rather than traveling all the way back home.

Never gone independent. im not that into being a leader. havent tried Caesars legion yet either, but its what im trying next playthrough.

ive never done veronicas side quest.

never completed birds of a feather.

neither done the evil version of beyond the beef or How little we know.

I have never died to radiation, because it is unnecessary.

I sided with the Powder Gangers my first time. I was still mad that the Doc went through my stuff. I also never use the crafting system or play Caravan.

I'll jump on the Caravan boat. I played one game my very first playthrough and I either didn't understand it or I didn't like it. The fact that I now know it's basically a cheat game I won't play it except maybe for the achievement. I have only used energy weapons once, except for a certain quest of course. I'm sure there are a lot of others that I just can't remember right now.

That's a shame, it's probably the easiest way to get money at the beginning of the game(and isn't based on the luck stat). First playthrough I did, I was at 10k caps, on my second playthrough I was at 28k caps and I'd just finished up at the NCR border outpost before nipton.

Myself? Dropboxes, I haven't found a use yet.

--I never side w/the Gangers either. They have no appeal for me at all, even as a mini-faction. Just common thugs. Besides, they always shoot at me first.
--I never side with the Legion. I don't think I've done a single one of their specific quests except the one Vulpes gives you in Nipton, which is nothing.
--Never use the 38 in a 'this is my room' capacity. Used it to test the companion idle behavior, that's it.
--After checking out what they were like/the general idea of their quests, I completely ignore the female companions. I like my male groupies in games, always do.
--No Power Armor and no headgear that covers the head/face. Sunglasses and rebreather excepted.
--Haven't played a single game of caravan.
--I did Sunny's quest to make a healing powder & made a few more of those, but that's it on the Survival side. Not interesting enough to motivate me.
--Vulpes: just felt wrong so never again.

I used the drop box once to ship parts for ED-E to Primm.

I never used the reloading benches until I played an Energy Weapons guy. Then it suddenly became useful.

I've never let Benny live.

I guess I've used most of the features at one time or another, but some of them just because I could.. like cooking.

Mojave express boxes.

Energy recycling.
VATS.
Caravan.
Blackjack.
Slot machines.
Cooking.
Made a poison.
Hacking.
Power armor usage.
Rebreather usage.

It's nice that it's there for others but I myself don't see a reason to care for any of these features.

I never used to use the Mojave Express drop boxes, but now that I'm trying to play without using Fast Travel, they are a godsend.

I've never made a sniper build, and I have no intention to do so. Just way too easy. The sniper rifles are perfect long AND short range weapons.

Never played slots. Only played one game of roulette and a couple of blackjack. Never bothered to break the bank in the casino. I do love me some Caravan, though.

Count me as another who has never kept Lily around for long. I want to like her, I really do, but something about the way female supermutants are portrayed makes me feel like the developers are accidentally mocking transgendered people. Also, nothing says "not at all sneaky" like wandering around with the incredible hulk in sunglasses and a hat, which is deeply ironic for a sneaky companion.

Caravan- fiddled with it long enough to learn to play, and learned I was right- bor-ing!!
Any other gambling- see "Caravan." I've never lacked for money despite not gambling...
Poisons- lolwhut?!? Chasing ingredients to hell and gone for 10 seconds of poison on a critter that'll be dead to my melee skill in 2?

Do you mean you've never repaired one yourself, or that you've never had one repaired?

Are you just constantly picking up new weapons or what?

I enjoyed being able to make different types of ammo, its fairly simple. The campfire thing on the other hand, completely too complicated for little to nothing, even in hardcoe mode i found it near useless. I might feel different about it if some vendors sold some of the stuff and I didn't have to hunt and store then gather and find a campfire or the recipes weren't so complicated.

I was disappointed that there was near nothing in the way of make-shift weapons.

I also never used the drop boxes. I used energy weapons in one play through and never did that again. I never took Intense Training perk. I never take any perks to do with survival because the skill is pretty useless (IMO) even in hardcoe mode. I never gamble either, none of the games are fun.

On the bright side, barter and speech are 100x more useful in NV then F3 so I'm using them a little more.

Haha that's the first thing that jumped out at me also. It really shouldn't be THAT easy to get a weapon repaired if repair is an actual skill.

Damn this is a good list, I'm in the same boat on all of the above.

I would add:

I rarely ever craft things, and only recently started Trying to get points into Survival and gathering components - but its way to inconvenient.

Never use the big guns (RL, Minigun, Gatling). Skills for it are too generic, weight is too high, ammo is heavy and the regular guns are just so interesting this time around.

Never gambled at any of the casinos - hate gambling in real life, it translated into the game. Nice looking places, no interest whatsoever.

Drugs, aside from stimpacks, I usually just say "NO". The exception is using Turbo and Med-X to try to outrun the artillery by the Boomers in Nellis AFB... =p
