The original Mafia, I just couldn't get into it. And I did know in advance that it wouldn't be a GTA style game.

Not that everyone in the world loves it, but it does seem to get a lot of praise everywhere from those who played it.

Monster Hunter: Don't know why people actually like the game, combat is horrible and there's no sense of direction.

Mass Effect 2: While it's a decent game I can't ever get myself to play through it more then once due to the linear nature of the game and the fact that they're no random items.

Same here, it is one of the more boring games I've played, yet it's so highly thought of.

Too much game, not enough discussion on Objectivism for me.

Assassins Creed, apparently the last 15 years of my life haven't been lived because I haven't played an AC game ?_?

Half-Life games, everyone who I know who has played them hates them and everyone else has no idea what it is

I'm not a huge fan of Mass Effect, and I just can't for the life of me get into Dragon Age: Origins either, despite how good everyone says those two are. I was so bored to tears halfway through Mass Effect in particular that I ended up just speeding through the rest of the main quest on Renegade mode just to be done with it all (still got the Paragon ending). :P

There aren't a lot of games I outright HATE though. I mean Assassin's Creed is a game I'll never play, but I don't really have hatred for it so much as I have indifference and apathy. Same with things like Bioshock 2, and everything Bioware makes anymore, and all of the Final Fantasy games, and all those DotA clones now.

I just didn't like:

Mass Effect 1, I liked 2 though.

Every game in the series after the first Assassin's Creed, they just svcked afterward.

Hitman series.

Farcry 2.

Battlefield: Bad Company, just a generic FPS with a gimmick.

Finally... WoW, that game is just so sad it's not funny.

Love is a somewhat excessive, but Dead to Rights: Retribution was quite fun actually. Solid shooting mechanics, decent graphics, and playing as the dog was really awesome.

I'm just to impatient to get into Bioshock and that's after growing up in the DOS era. I think it has to do with how jumpy the game is. It's heavily action oriented with a few RPG elements and story. And I still enjoyed what I've played of it, but after all the clunky controls and tracing and retracing I'd rather just pick up a shooter and throw grenades.

Gothic. Character controls svcked and combat seemed awkward. Worst inventory ever. Annoying Mud guy following you around town. Bleagh. I did like the intro and the idea of being stuck behind a magical barrier and stuff. Nice that NPC's did different things... I dunno, just couldn't stand the crappy parts. Didn't bother with the other games in the series.

Demon Stone. Twas buggy and I got so mad I uninstalled it, resealed it and took it back to Wal-fart. Only time I ever did that. Meh.

Jade Empire. Linear and boring! I finally get in a cave and it's so small and boring... oh god I had to uninstall it.

Fable. What the.... I got so far and the areas were so linear I got very annoyed and never touched it again. I mean I'm on a path in the woods and can't walk by a low shrubbery? :sadvaultboy:

The CoD series, People in my life love it so much, and make fun of me for playing RPGs <_<

................................................. yay! :D

On topic:
I can't believe that people like games like COH, COC, CO, Global Agenda or boring stuff like Farmville. OR overhyped Japanese fantasy with swords and magic that are way over the top and hairdues that would impale a person if he sat on it. Dragonball Z :banghead: roflmao

The Elder Scrolls, I mean what's so special about it? It has magic and swords, it's another Dragon Age. :spotted owl:

COD's all I can think of honestly.

Halo 2 -- overrated junk

It's hard to understand why one would waste the bandwidth to play an MMO if the intent is to go solo. I've read the explanation.. it still doesn't make sense, but whatever floats your boat.

Well I should clarify that. I don't want to do 100% solo but I hate it when I'm forced to play with others simply to progress in the game. I love the option to do group play but I think more MMOs need to have a greater degree of single player options. Look at WOW, the vast majority of quests can be soloed and a LOT of people do just that.

Also for me some of the appeal of playing an MMORPG is that my friends and I can all play together. The problem is, we all like doing different things so it's not as appealing as it once was. I love to explore but 1 friend loves to raid while another loves PVP and yet another loves to craft and simply hang out in cities doing goofy stuff. On occasions we all want to do some dungeons together but not much. So, I end up asking myself, why play this MMO instead of a SP? And I usually end up quitting shortly after that. :)

Ahh, I understand now. Sorry about that -- I like your rationale.
