Games you hate that everyone else loves and vice-versa

Black Ops is the best Call of Duty since the first Modern Warfare. There, I said it. I feel so much better. The campaign is epic-sauce and the multiplayer is worlds ahead of MW2, but not quite as good as MW.

Thank you, finally I found someone else on this forum who likes Black Ops.

Oblivion was largely the same way. Some parts of the game were alright, but the main quest really bored me, and the entire second act was fetch-quest padding. I forced myself to complete the main quest once, but I've never touched it again since. Again, not a bad game. I just found it really dull.

The main quest is, like, one of the lamest parts of that game.

I really don't like Bioshock. Crazy people jump at you and make loud noises. Great game. Not.

Don't you think you're kind of missing the appeal of the game?

I'm not trying to change your mind, but at least acknowledge the merits the game has.

For example, I don't care for the Assassin's Creed series. I actually think they are good games, but I just can't finish AC2. Don't know why, but it just doesn't make me want to finish it, but I acknowledge that it is a well-made, fun, game.

People are allowed to dislike Bioshock? BLASPHEMY!

In my experience, if someone dislikes something, that garners high-praise from others, they are misunderstanding the appeal, or there is something about it that doesn't bother many people, but breaks the game for them.

Bioshock had significant artistic value, but that itself isn't really a factor in whether someone likes the game. At its core Bioshock is an FPS; one with an interesting concept for a combat system, but one that isn't well balanced and quickly becomes repetitive, against enemies who are even more repetitive, in an environment that, while creative, also quickly becomes repetitive. Bioshock rides high on its concept and setting but these things do not directly improve the gameplay, which I found unremarkable.

Everything Bioware has ever made has been completely horrible.

Baldur's Gate 1+2+Expansion
Neverwinter Nights + Expansions
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Are all considered to be classic and defining RPGs.

I don't like KOTOR but saying they are all "horrible" just isn't true.
