No, people like gMemo92 seem to think that just because you're a gamer, there is no way in hell you can score a girlfriend, or be good at anything else outside of gaming.

I cannot stand people that think like that.

I'm glad that my fiance doesn't mind my playing. He'll even watch me play sometimes, but he has no interest in playing. I talk about games with all of our male friends, and they think it's hilarious that he, who really doesn't like video games, is marrying one of the few girls who is as into gaming as I am.

Have her do something like take a painting class BY HERSELF in the time you play, or ballroom dancing or another activity WITH HER, so that you can differentiate quality time and YOUR time.

Damn, that's unfortunate. My girlfriend loves Skyrim as much as I do, we spent the first half of spring break playing together.

I came to gaming watching my husband (that time my boyfriend) was playing games. My husband is more into modding, I am in playing (but I have a few little projects for Skyrim in mind). it is nice to read your post. But I think this is a "male" thread. It seems to be that they are only wants to talking to their own gender...

Edit: I think it was the aim of the thread to get a little sympathy from other males.

Of course you have to pay attention to your wife/girlfriend, but you shouldn't have to spend all your free time with her and do only things she likes. If you really do play too much instead of being with her then try to find balance.

Women who aren't gamers rarely understand why males play games. This is just an example: If a male plays World of Tanks, a woman's comment may be "He rides around some dumb thing and shoots stuff. How dumb." Males and females interests are often totally different.

MMZ>TORKAK is right. He can drink and gamble at home and play with his wife's boobs and butt. It is not weird at all, but it is called marriage.

It's a matter of taste you know..be married doesn't mean automatically being condemned to play always with the same boobs and butt at home - too weird and boring -at least for me

Alright, we'll start manipulating the guys again then, instead of nicely sharing ideas. ;)

I concur.

A loving girlfriend would bring you food and drink while you play.

Eeeeeeeeeee Wrong - a loving boy friend would buy a sweet 2nd gaming system! Psh, we are woman hear us ROAR (no way I would serve drinks while my man has all the fun!) LOL

Just be careful you don't call her "Lydia" at an "inopportune" time.

LMAO I still don't get what you all see in that whiny B..... I mean chick LOL

Unfortunately it is I who has done the dumping............in the nearest lake.

Oi, you are scaring me, Eloheem... easy there buddy, quit the violence! LOL

I will turn off any game to hang out with my wife

Awwww sweetest statement here. However, unfortunately, not many couples have your kind of relationship!

Tell her that you desperately need a break from reality where all the chicks you see have fat asses.

That should calm her down.

Ouch! Yea, you have NO experience with women! What are you 12? LOL =p

I'm a bit surprised you have a gf and you play skyrim. My gf wouldn't tolerate that lol

Cheers

I think your gf is a bit intolerant, eh? LOL

Ah, the single life! I get home from work, take care of my dog and my cats and then it's me and my gaming PC all the way! Oh yea, I agree, you should take a break from Skyrim now and then. I'm taking a break... with Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas hahahahahahahaha

GAME ON People!

Yeah, that will solve it, she will probably never speak to you again if you do that.
shes a woman tell her to keep her thoughts to herself..
That will probably end the same way as the other suggestions, and this isn't the early 1800s

As I've said before how much time do you spend with her compared with how much time you spend with skyrim?
If you use more time on skyrim than on her you probably play to much.

add "and sims 3 pets" to the end of your post and it's almost like I wrote it myself!
My brothers GF is always gaming, Skyrim, MassEffect, whatever the game, she is playing it.

Luckily I went for my girl on her personality, not on her hobbies.
Although I sometimes do wonder how much better (or worse??) our relationship would be if she gamed too, but aside from that, nearly 2 years.

Indeed. A woman's place is in the kitchen, making sammiches, not complaining about time lost.

You people have no [censored] clue on what a family and being in love really is . Its a gift ... this is a game, an artificial game , a world which does not exist and will never exist and nothing productive will never come out of it.. you play to enjoy and not ruin your's or other's life . When people have all the pleasures of life they have absolutely no [censored] value to it... :swear:
