Meh. I'm glad that I don't bother myself with relationships.

I'm a bit surprised you have a gf and you play skyrim. My gf wouldn't tolerate that lol
I feel sorry for you, mate. You got yourself a conservative, old fashioned girl who clings to the belief of an illusional world, were a guy would give up everything to spend every minute of his life, pleasing his wowan with all the romantic crap he could come up with. Those girls ain't no good. ^^
I think more people should do like me and my man; he sits and plays, occasionally asks if I want to do something (or rather qute often), but mostly he gets the answer "no, I'd just like to watch you play" (or maybe I'll snatch the controller from him and play Skyirm myself). That's the ideal situation in my eyes. At least he asks <3 I'm the one saying he can play as much as he'd like ^^

This isnt some love guru forum.

If you have no interest in this thread then don't keep reading it. There are a lot of threads in the GD section. I think we can manage one humor thread :)

From what I gather, this is my better half's stand point. I do ask if she wants to try, she has and I help her as best as I can.But thankfully TES just isn't her cup-o-tea so while I play she seems quite content watchen her TV shows on the laptop while I quest my brains out(with in reason) The only time I get "[censored]ed out" for playen is when I didn't take care of other obligations like dishes, laundry, clean house etc... The usual Mr.Mom stuff.

Agreed!! Only the single people/unmarried wouldn't get the humor. It's not that we fight about the game more like we bicker and pass light banter over how much of a nerd I am.

Did you just declare this thread to be the official 'rant about your spouse' thread?

You're a lucky man. Keep her

Been together 14yr(since junior high), she has gotten used to what makes me, ME, gaming and nerdy stuff in general are a big part of that. What she wont admit is that I have turned her into a nerdlinger. :tes: and music taste are the only things that we don't have in common, but I almost got her into playen Skyrim.(give it another month)

A live woman is better than a game. Even one where you can marry Mjoll.

Ah, Mjoll...

Here is what I do. Wait for her to want to watch a bad movie or a bad TV show, or do something you have no desire to do. Then go play Skyrim. If she says anything about you should stay and do/watch something you don't care about inform her that you will be happy to when she watches you play skyrim.

Problem solved... at least for me.

It also gives her a little bit of control over how much time she spends with you. Does she care more about spending time with you, or watching grey's anatomy? Eventually she will want to watch the show, but since her changing the channel to something that everyone can not agree on is the reason you left she can not blame you.

Volunteer to go shopping with her for the equivalent amount of hours that you spend playing Skyrim.

There, that solves all problems...

OMFG! Hand me a bullet, while I write a good-bye note...
