Firstly. Nice work. Whatever your doing, keep doing it. It's already working.

Secondly, as you are already doing well, don't listen to anyone apart from yourself. Your own heart will lead you in the right direction.

Thirdly. If she really is a Skyrim player find out her avatar name ON THIS FORUM, as she has already read this thread and now knows all your evil plans!!! The chances of this girl being a forum member are quite high. :shocking:

Sorry if the third point just scared you [censored]less! :ahhh:

In Skyrim: I won't lie, I'm interested
In real life: You look a proper dike, take that gaudy piece of crap off right now. You are embarresing everyone present.

It sounds like she doesn't necessarily want to play Skyrim, but she wants to be with you. Try to be friendly and polite. She's going as far as doing what you want, so try to do the same back. It may go somewhere. :)

Take her to Rifen, I'm sure there is a shop that sells shoes and handbags she'll love you for it

Seriously just be yourself, stay calm and let her take the lead don't force it.

Let her make a new character on a new save and start the game from the beginning she would love it that way her character is hers and she discover the game from the very beginning. Plus that way you can get a second date because she will be hooked and her character is on your machine so she will have to visit again! :bunny: Good luck Im sure you will have a great time.

That's funny because gaming and DnD love are actually prerequisites for any potential boyfriend of mine... brownie points if you're into comics and Star Trek.

That being said, I've never had any female friends and, despite having 3 sisters, I find most other women unfathomable so I can't really give advice to the OP. :/

Qapla'! *rolls d20* head-butt successful!

I need help .-.

This girl I like - and whom I think may like me back - said she wanted to hang out with me. We tossed around ideas and eventually she suggested we play videogames, I guess because she knows that I do. She mentioned that she's played Uncharted 3 before.

Anyways, I sent her a text earlier when she asked me what I was doing, saying that I had just forced someone to his knees and cut off his head with two swords. After I told her it was Skyrim, she said "we're playing that".

Well...after my nerdgasm subsided, I started to freak out. Even though this won't *technically* be a date, it sure will feel like one, and I want us to have a good time. Trouble is, Skyrim is a single-player game.

Question: Is Skyrim a good date/sort-of-date game to play with a girl? If so, how should I go about it? How could I make it fun and flirtatious without boring her?

If the above is not possible, what sort of games should I try instead? She mentioned Mario Kart and Call of Duty, and I suppose both of those would work, but they're competitive and I have no idea what her gaming aptitude is. I think it'd get boring if she started losing over and over...but I dunno.

So. Please. Help me. I'M BEGGING YOU!

Edit: Wow, thanks for all of the replies!

As a god of sixual prowess and seduction (not to mention an example of well toned masculine physique) I find your insinuations offensive

I have had enough of your disingenious assertions *Shephard punch*

You guys never know; she might appreciate the thread. It really does depend on her personality. Not the stuff anyone would advertise on a first date in most cases. Meh.

Anyway, I've done the whole TES thing with different girls. I can say this: they're never the same. Different girls, assuming they find Skyrim interesting at all, will like different parts. I have sat with my girlfriend and watched her spend an hour making a character more because she was interested in how it looked than playing it. Then she discovered I'm a pack rat with my savegames and tend to play females, so she spent another hour trying on every possible combination of the clothes I had in my house in Skingrad. She also admired the view a lot.

I have another friend who used to come over a lot to fiddle with movies, computers and games. She always had me find the most violent movies you can imagine. I don't remember the plot of a single one; we cuddled and talked through the whole lot of them. When it came to Bethesda games she was more interested in the violence and gore. I supplied it.

My friend's girlfriend liked watching me play Fallout 3, but she wanted to do the political things and interesting quests.

The point is the Skyrim playing, if it happens at all, could go any way, so just have fun. You both will probably learn new stuff of some kind. Relax (if you can), have snacks/beverages on hand, have fun, etc.
