I don't really see what the problem with that is though, remember that 1 DLC cost around the same as going to the pictures. (Actually, going to the pictures cost more if one buys snacks and soda as well.)
So, a night at the pictures:1.30 hours of entertainment.
A DLC for Fallout:5-20 hours of entertainment. (Depending on how many times you replay it.)
So, say you buy 8 DLC's, all which gives you 6 hours of entertainment cause you only play through them once for some reason = 48 hours of entertainment.
If you go to the pictures 8 times then it will give you = around 12 hours of entertainment.
I'd say that a DLC is far more profitable and economic when considering the money:entertainment value ratio.
