How the games made by Bethesda have greatly improved my life

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 12:35 am

Stolen hours? That may be it for some since I always gained a tad of weight and was inactive but months ago I changed it around. I find the games even better when I do things in between playing the game.
My games played now are: Oblivion, Fallout 3(1390+ hours played lol), Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, and sometimes Battlefield 3...

Once again I am sorry, I did not mean it in a harmful way to anybody that has any condition, I meant "you people" as at the time I wrote the post there was two people talking about how the game helps them and distracts them. Maybe I should have said you two but instead I put you people, sometimes I just say or write things different than what I mean.

To elaborate on things, there is something wrong with everybody on this planet in one way or another there is no such thing as normal, I have a touch oh OCD I know where I put everything and things have to be a certain way or I go crazy and I stare at something until I get up and fix it if I feel its out of place, and so on that it was problem I have more I could say about myself but I will leave it at that.

I am glad that Bethesda games give something to do to those that need or want the distraction.

I was joking, I thought the picture of Robert Downey Jr. would have given that away.

I do not think he took offense he just took the moment to make a reference to a movie called Tropic Thunder. Where somebody says what do you mean by you people, and much more.

Never seen the movie I am not big on movies of that ilk, but I get the sentiment now that I was informed Robert Downey Jr was in it, he is a great actor.:)

Yeah my biggest two is the fact I cannot post links, and I cannot view some pictures and on the ones I can view they take forever to load and that is bothersome for me because I have zero patience.

No good being over sensitive about these sorts of things, I mean psychologists might say certain people have personality disorders, but who's to say it's a disorder ? It's just the way some people are and that's fine as long as they're not harming themselves or others.

I just view myself as a loner really, I'm happy being alone and I'm most comfortable in my own company, I tend to tire of being around others very quickly even if I like these people. Some people view that as weird or abnormal and think there must be something wrong with me but I feel the same way about people who need to be in the company of others 24/7.

Doctors and psychologists diagnose people with so many different things it's honestly a joke. Soon they're going to come up with a loves-pie-disorder.

Also, there's really a disorder for being anti-social? That doesn't sound like a disorder to me, it just sounds like you're anti-social lol. Silly diagnosis. I for one, love TES and Fallout but to a certain extent, they've drained hours of my life away but I still need to go to the gym 4-5 times a week and at least go out twice a week with friends.

I think I have a disorder where I enjoy working out too much. Hell, I even look forward to leg day. Who in their right mind looks forward to leg day?!

Psychologists are the most evil, vile creatures in the world. They will take a perfectly sane person and diagnose them for being insane, and everybody will believe them to be insane because a psychologist declares so. Maybe I've seen too many movies lol

I just think that human personalities can't really be labelled and tagged.. They're too complex. Everybody is unique in some small way, some vary massively.

There's so many variables that can form a personality, and tiny seemingly insignificant events can cause some perfectly happy people to go on killing sprees and such.

I say human personalities, other animal personalities as well. Some dogs are shy, some are aggresive, some raised in loving homes can be really anti-social, it's strange.

Yes, what tesisawesome just said. You have the 360 versions of Bethesda's games, but if you want to work at designing them you can try your hand with teh tools for the PC versions. Yes, that would mean you have to buy at least one game yet again, and maybe even a PC to use, but the tools and knowledge are free.

This is another reason why I support Bethesda. They are one of the few developers who put in the extra effort of publishing "creation kits" for their customers (like Valve in Seattle). This just shows that they care for their players, by essentially handing over the code to whoever wants to give it a go. It's admirable, and it adds longevity to their products.

i understand the feeling and I wondered if I was the only one. I did not mention all of my problems just those that caused many ordeals. i could be conisdered OCD but it mainly is with
numbers.
Example: in car radio on. Sound at 17 annoys
me and needs to be "even or a number that
looks nice". 22 does not look good to me and 25
is excellent for some odd reason. Like I said I
am odd.
just cause your not tje average person doesnt mean your odd. :) Im young, i admire skyrim , iwant to become a game designer, were not to different are we. Ive ALWAYS hated people slagging other people and when its about something they cant help its 10x worse, its probably because i have a stutter, cant purnounce stuff right and my ex-friend slagged me because of that and the fact i have glasses and because my dad didnt have a job. In my class i play games the most and know a ton about them, some call me weird. heres a good saying "You laugh at me cause im different, i laugh at you cause your all the same"

P.S. good luck in skyrim

I don't have any issues, well my wife says I'm immature and annoying :D , but I've been a huge Bethesda fan since Daggerfall. Their games have brought so much enjoyment to my life.

I've always felt that you don't play a Bethesda game, you live a Bethesda game.

No, they just are the studio who make Halo games now, Bungie still exists and is working on a new title already.
