Hello everybody I am Nikolai a player greatly engrossed in Bethesda's games.
I have been contemplating a post similar to this for weeks. My life is very different then most, I have Tourettes and Asperger's Syndrome making socializing hard for me and I am extremely intelligent.

The detail and compelling content of these games has greatly helped my imagination flourish and expand as well as my knowledge. When I did not understand many words used I would look them up and practice the meanings so I understand better. I played Oblivion maybe when I was 10-11 and by all means I am not just some child, pre-pubascent and immature. I hit puberty early and matured fast and these games are a large part of my life and happiness.
I see things in a much different way than others and these games alone have inspired me to attempt game design when I reach being able to receive a college education. I am currently fourteen years of age and I hope that will not have me banned from these forums.
For over a year I have wished to meet Todd Howard and the developers here at Bethesda Game Studios and I always I wonder if it is possible. Some people want to meet movie stars and musicians and I want to meet a game designer that inspires me.
This post may seem quite irrelevant and pointless but this is something I just need to say, to see what happens, and let my thoughts flow through the keyboard.

I could have made this much more developed and sensible if I took much more time to write this, but I fear I will forget to post it like I have for the past few weeks. I may edit this if it is not closed...

If you view this Todd, i would like to tell you:
Tears started up in me when I thought of making this type of post.. My life has been hard and I just wonder if there would even be a job opening at your studio in some years, and if you are still in this job then.
I noticed you went to a Highschool in Pennsylvania called Emmaus, or so wiki told me. I live in Philadelphia and it made me feel there was something in common. I also read you applied for a job at Bethesda while still in college and they declined you and now you are one of the biggest parts of the team. It was ironic in a way.

i hope somebody in BGS sees.....

I guess this could be some proof of not being childish in form:

EDIT: I also help many people new to the series on a tech forum in the Elderscroll section which I greatly enjoy and even though it does not benefit me I own many copies of the same BGS game. 2 Fallout 3's on the xbox 360, 2 Oblivion's, xbox as well, and 1 Skyrim.
I obtained the second Fallout 3 when I traded in Call of Duty Black Ops and I did not know another game to get so I got another Fallout 3 except GOTY.
I hope Gstaff sees this and pass it on to Todd Howard. That would be great. Good luck.

And yes these games are truly amazing

After a long day of work, or school. TES games just calm me down. I slip on my headset and get lost for a few hours. It's truly the most immersive game ever made IMO

Great post OP.

And there's nothing wrong with liking your own company and being alone.

It was Thoreou (a wise philosopher) that said

“I love to be alone. I never found the companion that was so companionable as solitude.”

The general mass of the population will think you're weird, but they're just jealous coz they can't go 5 minutes without hankering for some kind of human company or some kind of trashy entertainment for their mind.

I do squats, as well as sumo squats which is squats with a weight. I just maintain my legs now as I build my upper body.

I want company but somebody that understands me and has my interests. I can go without company for a while but internet company helps out. That is where I met the most understanding people.

Doctors and psychologists diagnose people with so many different things it's honestly a joke. Soon they're going to come up with a loves-pie-disorder.

Also, there's really a disorder for being anti-social? That doesn't sound like a disorder to me, it just sounds like you're anti-social lol. Silly diagnosis. I for one, love TES and Fallout but to a certain extent, they've drained hours of my life away but I still need to go to the gym 4-5 times a week and at least go out twice a week with friends.

I think I have a disorder where I enjoy working out too much. Hell, I even look forward to leg day. Who in their right mind looks forward to leg day?!

I could be completely wrong here, but I think when.....for example if you develop a sense of humor as a way to combat being made fun of as a child, that's a personality TRAIT you developed to help cope with your environment. Adapting is seen as natural, as we all do this every day of our lives.
When you have certain personality traits almost instinctually and to an intense degree, with nothing seeming to provoke them or cause them, then that's referred to as a personality disorder. You were born with this "weight" and thus working to fix it (don't mean fix as if something's wrong, but rather if you WANTED to change it) is a tad bit harder than, say, getting a fun-loving person to become calmer and more serious.

Though psychologists say everyone is born with some degree of fixed personality iirc, and many are quite aware that practically anything could be called a disorder. To my knowledge, psychology actually agrees with you and uses the term "disorder" rather loosely, not meaning to say something's wrong with the person but rather that this personality trait makes it difficult for them to interact with society.

Psychologists are the most evil, vile creatures in the world. They will take a perfectly sane person and diagnose them for being insane, and everybody will believe them to be insane because a psychologist declares so. Maybe I've seen too many movies lol

I don't know, but regular squats are done with a barbell over your back. Also, how do you leg press 800 lbs? I doubt that many plates could fit on a leg press machine lol

The cap is somewhere over 2k. It has 6 bar to put weights on and can fit about 8 45 pounders each.
so 45 x 8 x 6= 2160.
I go to L.A Fitness and it is in the back where free weights are.
EDIT: Then starting resistance and gravity acting against you.
Also it seems my thread went off topic but made many different topics amongst people lol.

social life is overrated

I'm lucky I got a few good friends when I was young before I turned into a hermit :P

now I just want to do my teaching job take care of my garden (and cats their I admit it) and find me a frigging bed partner.

don't worry OP if all people were "normal" we would never see music, science, games...etc everyone would still be beating each other with clubs on the head and claiming territory

Me. If I met Todd Howard my head might explode with delight.. That sounds painful. Honestly though I would but I know I'd make a complete fool out of myself, who cares though I'd be able to tell people I'd met Todd Howard.

Depends on the psychologist, imo.
Studying psychology can apparently be very depressing, since it introduces you to all these different disorders to worry about AND...well yeah, I doubt you look at people the same way after you've been taught how to thoroughly anolyze them. Another theory I've heard (yeah, psychologists as people are weird enough that people theorize as to why so many are weird  ) is that people with crappy upbringings want answers to why they're not so happy with themselves or WHY they were mistreated, and thus you have stressed out, depressed people trying to teach you how to cope with your problems...not good.
Personally? That sounds like the type of profession you wanna reserve for people with the right personality type, preferably and probably someone laid back and light-hearted who won't take it all super-serious. But yeah, no such limitation exists, and thus I'm willing to bet the world has plenty of psychologists who are just as "sick" as their patients.

Never actually visited a psychologist myself (I'd actually love to, but I'm very laid back about it), but both my parents frequented psychologists, and both of them would say that one day they'd find a perfectly calm, rational psychologist, then another they'd find some royal ass trying to spoonfeed them how screwed up of a person they were.
I also had a roommate who LOVED her family and was super close with them, and one day we just had some chat about some fight with a friend, and out of nowhere she started sort of anolyzing me, saying she thinks that deep down, I wish I had a close, loving family. I found this incredibly odd as I never even think about family, have never had close contact with them and live an ocean away from them. For me it was "how can I long for something I've never known," as well as it sounded like her personal bias interfering with a proper anolyzation. :D

I play college football and have been lifting my whole life. And I can tell you that the leg press machine can hold an extreme amount of weight, it's also MUCH easier than back squats because of the leverage and stability you gain. (even more off topic) If anyone has any health related questions I also have a degree in dietetics, so feel free to PM or ask.

OP congratulations finding something that makes you happy, I think most people have a hard enough time finding something that makes them happy. I have a nephew with ADHD and would love more than anything for him to find something that would soothe him on a daily basis.
