Hey, it's cool; I'm just glad you didn't escalate anything. Try and remember that nothing is really urgent on the internet, and you might find yourself avoiding a lot more conflict :vaultboy:

Anyway, I, for one, am looking forward to all of that new hand-to-hand goodness! My Khajiit monk will finally feel like a true martial artist :ahhh: :toughninja: :gun:

A hand to hand skill is better than a hand to hand kill cam. Just sayin.

I for one, don't mind the kill cams, and welcome these new overlords.

I wouldn't not mind an otion to turn them off though (for those who don't like it, or I might get tired of it myself eventually), unlike the "no-helmet" toggle which I vehemently oppose, but let's not get into that. ;-)

Kill cams only show up when you kill the last enemy in a cell, and, the blow that you will land is enough to kill them. So, some conditions need to be met. Unless you have really buffed up Archery Skills and Perks and or Sneak Perks, Kill Cam shots with Bows are not going to be common place.

Why do some make the assumption that new features mean less bug fixing? Not everyone on the Skyrim team have the same job, specialties or capabilities. Some folks work on core systems, others design levels, others create textures or objects, etc.

Not everyone will, or can be, working on bug fixes. There is nothing wrong with Bethesda having people who's skillsets don't lend themselves well to working on bug fixes continue to create new features to roll into the game along with the bug fixes when a new patch is released.

The idea that one comes at the expense of the other is a fallacy.

The archery killcams are really good, but should only trigger at a certain distance. Triggering one at to close range is a mess and needs to be removed. Medium to long range archery killcam triggers, should have different time slowdowns to compensate for the distance traveled. Other than that they need to be way more frequent. Setting up 30 NPCs for target practice, on average only 10% trigger the killmove, and this is with a Uber cheat character for testing..
Some cams are truely epic, like the follow arrow from behind with a kinda sway motion. Its great..

This is getting ridiculous. Since the majority of players want the kill cams should Bethesda cater to the whims of the minority? Yes, they probably should include an option to turn them off for the people that don't want them but I doubt they will. As far as pc players take 2 minutes and download a mod or change your ini. Problem solved.

I don't really care for the kill cams, but the anims for the finishers I like, must find way to make them manual and perk them up

Yes it does.

TBH 1.4.27 would be a good stopping/holding out point.

These threads have been split almost down the middle. Keep your kill cams. We just want a toggle option, that's all.

Kill cams ARE awesome, they are well done, look good, and add to the gameplay.

But none of that means a damn thing without the option to turn them off.

this pretty much sums it up.

this is cool but i think it would be great to have an option associated with them. Killcams: 1st person, 3rd person, both, none. Boom, everyone loves it

like i really love the 1st person ones especially when you shove your sword in a lunging bears mouth its so badass but I hate the slow mo blurry long thing that happens every time i run into a pair of wolves lol

I think its great that Beth is adding free feature to the game, even though like the Fallouts I will turn off magic and archery kill cams as I find them tedious a lot of the time. As for the melee ones, I will use a mod that makes that only allows first person kiil cams.

I've wanted archery/magic killcams from the start. They look so legit in the the trailer too!

LOL. Wishful thinking. I suggest you go back through the thread and read it again. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and did just that. Like I said, the majority of people want the kill cams. And if you read my full post I also said Beth should give you the option of using them or not but I doubt they will. Fortunately, I had the foresight to get Skyrim for the pc so I can change pretty much anything I want.

Thats how they look for Fallouts as well, but in game they often come off much worse.

Someone tested it out by letting a Whiterun guard archer kill him a couple dozen times, it doesn't seem to trigger with enemies.

That would be obnoxious if it did.

Yeah I REALLY doubt they're gonna wedge that in there between beta and release. The melee ones I understand but you could just be walking the hell along and get an arrow/fireball in the skull. That would be annoying.
