Lost, season 6.

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 1:40 pm

Lost's greatness is, well, lost, when watching it on a week to week basis. You'll only fully appreciate it when watching it all back to back.

When season 6 is released on DVD, I'm going to watch the whole thing again from season 1. I reckon it'll be awesome.

I plan on doing that too. I own seasons 1-5 on DvD.

Back to the Richard thing... Not only do I think he came on the Black Rock, I think he was a prisoner on that ship. Did you see the way he looked at those shackles? IIRC, Evil Locke even said something to him about last time he saw him he was a prisoner or in chains or something.

You know, you're right. I remember that now. And that makes sense, giving a prisoner prolonged life. But in the end..isn't he still a prisoner?

So 5 minutes into this week's episode, and Sawyer's a cop!

I KNOW! I was like. Wut.
At first I thought it was a flashback, him doing his regular ole' con thing. But then when he said "sawyer" and the police jumped out, I was like, ohisee.

I can't wait until next week! We get Richard's story! :D

YESSIR! Richard is my favorite character. Really can't wait to see what they'll reveal about him.

Why oh why did they get my hopes up that
Spoiler
Psycho Claire would kill Kate
and then yank it away from me?

I really hoped she'd die too. I was actually rooting claire to stab her in the neck with that knife when they were wresting on the ground.
Afterwards, I thought to myself, "Woulda been hot if they started to make out."

Yeah I was cussing at the TV when Locke pulled her off Kate, but then I was like YEEEAH cuz he hit her. It looks like she isn't crazy anymore though. :( I hope the episode after Richard's is about Faraday. At some point they're going to have to do something with him, he just seemed too important to kill and forget about forever.

She's never been his daughter, he stole her from Rousseau when she was a baby.

Good point. I was thinking about that and forgot he wasn't the actual father.

I forgot that too, about halfway through the series. It's pretty hard to keep up with all the little facts with LOST.

Quite possibly the greatest episode so far this season, and definitely one of the best overall. Finally, some ANSWERS.

I'm starting to get a clearer picture of what's going on, though I think that the writers are going to somehow turn us on our heads with some epic plot twist...

So... is Lost going to end anytime soon? Cause I'm on season 5 and I want it to be over so I can finally stop watching it...

This is the last season. I think 8 episodes left and a season finale.

So...wow.
That was without a doubt the best episode of Lost, ever. So many answers. They essentially explained the island itself. And Richard, man oh MAN was that a good episode. I'm so pleased with it.
Who else agrees?

Wow, that episode went by so fast. I think this pretty much confirms that the Locke-esque smoke monster is indeed evil.

Oh yeah he's evil for sure. I thought it was really cool how they showed Jacob and him talking again. That whole segment when richard arrived was really cool.

Flocke may be evil but I still expect a last-minute twist. Tonight's episode was like reading first season guesses and speculation straight out of The Fuselage forum. If there is no twist, I will be shocked and disappointed.

Season 4's The Constant was the single best episode of Lost, but yeah this one was good too.

I am still in awe of that LOST episode... so many answers, and the whole meaning of Jacob's and the Island's existence explained in an eloquent metaphor... One of the best episodes to date, methinks.

This is quite interesting... I had my music player on, and it started playing http://hempstersstitch.com/store/images/a-question-of-bal-2.jpg. The man in the middle looks a lot like the man in black, and he's surrounded by a cloud (too light to be smoke, though). Then, of course, the title of the album is "A Question of Balance."

Maybe the Moody Blues saw this show coming decades ago... :o

So it was a good episode. But:

They didn't answer anything. We knew about chains, gift, long life, statue, ship.
Spoiler

I think Jacob knew what was Richard gonna say? He had the job in his mind before Richard said a thing. He manipulated Richard quite well. He even knew Richard was gonna ask for long life. And he wanted to use him, he saw him as a good candidate because he was an easy one. He totally used his religion back to him. He is so good at this, you can miss his evilness. If that one was MIB's first attempt at killing him. Jacob might think he has to counter attack. I don't buy the free will thing. He is not god. He is bound by some rules too. He lies. MIB lies too but he is at least bad at it. You can understand why he lies. Jacob is so sinister on the other hand.

more spoilers and theory
Spoiler

Well, what if MIB knew Richard was gonna fail, and we have Sayid incident for that. And he planned Jacob would take him to his side. MIB send him very prematurely. And at the end Isabel was actually MIB's projection too(like she was early in the episode). I can't see the difference for Hurley's visions. I can understand that he sees Jacob but not other dead people. So Richard was kinda like Benjamin a trojan horse, for final phase. But I don't know what role he will play.

I have to say I hate Jacob. Yes, that innocent looking man. He is using everyone in his little game. I fear black smoke(I mean his man in black, John Locke persona), but I can't say I hate him. I totally understand him. And I wanna meet his mother.

some more theories:
Spoiler

I think Hurley as a candidate long before he has lost his chance. If Jacob doesn't want to interfere, he interfered with Hurley a lot for that to be true.

Snip

If I was to address my opinion, I would have to talk about Religion and we are not allowed to do. You can clearly see Lost mentions Religion but on the forum we can't.

So I can't give my point of view on this.
