Lost, season 6.

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:57 pm

The first season of Lost. WHAT A BEAUTY! So much foreshadowing, even in the smallest ways, so much character development and things staring you directly in the face, but oh so well hidden.

Season two? Mehhhh... alright. Up to a certain someone going crazy and shooting the crap out of people.

Season Three. Wah....

Season Four: Oh wow, this show is still not canceled?

Season Five: Huh? Lost.. I used to watch that. What? Its still on? Damn..

Season Six Forum Topic. This is still going?

Not really sure what you're getting at. Most people who watched Lost season 1 and liked it, are still watching today, despite what the very few people on these forums who seem to think the show is completely stupid and think their opinions =/= the entire earths population.
People still watch lost. A lot of people still watch lost. It's one of the most popular shows on TV right now, for good reason.
Get over it?

Agreed, if you don't like it don't visit the thread. It can only lead to flaming and such that will get the thread locked.

If there ever was any doubt about the greatness of Michael Emerson and his portrayal of Ben Linus, tonight's episode undoubtedly dispelled it.

I didn't like that he went with the girl. Also does this mean she's really not his daughter? I didn't understand that bit.

She's never been his daughter, he stole her from Rousseau when she was a baby.

I was bored last week, so I decided to finally start watching LOST. Started with the first episode like... maybe 8 days ago, and am now completely caught up, except with the episode that aired tonight.

Felt good watching something that people have been watching and talking about for 6 years in one week.

Me and my room mates just started watching Lost from the beginning a couple months ago and we're just about to wrap up season 3. Haven't read any of the posts here so I'm not seeing spoilers. But I have a pretty good idea of how it's all going to turn out.

I know we're really late to the game on watching Lost but it's pretty sweet we don't have to wait a week or two for the next episode. We have all the seasons up to season 5 in que on Netflix on our 360.

The alternate shows the kind of person Ben really is. His power-hungry nature and

getting shot as a child by Sayiid
really messed him up. Glad he's finding redemption, especially after

Sayiid's fall.

It's too true, season 3 is kind of the jumping point for craziness, too.

Really though, no one else thought tonight's performance was amazing? I've been becoming a Ben fan ever since

Last nights episode was really, really good, for two reasons.
-It was a ben episode. Ben is awesome
-They brought back Richard into the season, haven't seen him in 2 episodes, make me a sad panda.
I really thought the scene where richard and hurly and jack are in the ship.
Spoiler
Also, I think I may know something about richard now.
When talking to jack in the ship, he stated that he hadn't been "back" to this boat in a very long time. At the end of season 5, the finale, when Jacob and the man are sitting on the island, it looks like it's in the 1800s or earlier, since the ship out in the ocean that they see is the same ship as the one they were in last night. Methinks richard was on that boat, and then jacob gave him unnaturally long life.

Michael Emerson deserves an Emmy for last night's episode. He's turning into one of my favourite actors, and he is easily one of my favourite characters on the show.

Spoiler
That is what I had thought as well, makes sense to me.

Just glad Richard isn't running around the jungle going :ahhh: anymore.

A thought on "being touched" by Jacob.
Spoiler
Remember back in the fourth season, with the Michael flashback episode, where he is trying to commit suicide before Mr Friendly finds him? Friendly tells him that no matter how many times he pulls the trigger on that gun, it will never work. Ergo, Michael must have been touched by Jacob at some point in his life. Just too bad we'll never find out.

Lost's greatness is, well, lost, when watching it on a week to week basis. You'll only fully appreciate it when watching it all back to back.

When season 6 is released on DVD, I'm going to watch the whole thing again from season 1. I reckon it'll be awesome.

I've been thoroughly glued to lost since the beginning too. Haven't missed an episode to date and that's something i'm sadly quite proud of. I will admit the show's lost that sense of actually being "lost" since around the end of season 3 but i still tune in weekly to see what goes on.

Season 6 so far has been amazing. Pretty much every week now, in some shape or form we're getting the odd answer or two. I was surprised they revealed the monster mystery so early on but in a way i'm glad it's out finally.Being honest i did expect something a little better but..

Spoiler
it keeps good ol' Locke in the show with something interesting surrounding him, major win in my book

The latest episode with Ben was fantastic. Emerson really did give it his all. I was as interested in the flashsideways storyline as i was the island storyline and that's quite something. It's usually a distraction from the island timeline. The ending of it..

Spoiler
really blew me away, i didn't see that coming at all. I knew something had to happen sooner or later because there was no real progression being made, finale wise. So with the arrival of Widmore, the show's definitely about to heat up.

Back to the Richard thing... Not only do I think he came on the Black Rock, I think he was a prisoner on that ship. Did you see the way he looked at those shackles? IIRC, Evil Locke even said something to him about last time he saw him he was a prisoner or in chains or something.

Ye I think the idea that the Black Rock was a slave ship was really just meant to mislead us. I bet it was carrying prisoners from Britain to Australia or some place similar.

I tried watching it last night, but changed the channel for the same reasons I did since the fifth season.
It's too damn soap-operaish-shark-jumpingish writing has left me annoyed.
