Or see the link in my sig, where you can see it in all it's 27-page glory.

unfortunately, the link to the direct thread doesn't work. The thread just disappeared...

But the link in my sig isn't to the direct thread, it's to a backup of the thread.

The one thing I don't like about the 500 post thread is that we'll probably never beat it's record. I mean, the Bro thread seemed so long (13 pages!), but then the planets aligned and all of the mods went offline for 2 hours while we got 27 PAGES. I honestly can't see that happening again for quite some time.

I haven't posted here for quite a while.

I've got my last first semester examination on Wednesday (business mathematics), and I feel it's going to ruin my momentum! The previous 4 exams I was really prepared for, and I felt I did really well in (I'm expecting an A in 2 of them, maybe another A in Maltese Law but they say he always grades every paper 'B'), but this next one I'm not doing too well from the pastpapers I've been working. Anyway, I've got a cold, this past month has been very boring, my step-dad's annulment from his ex-wife was rejected by the church, and I've got a headache. But apart from this, all is well.

Also, glad to see you're getting away from those pesky neighbours Olaf. I was worried you might lose it and eat them all alive in their sleep.

At least the... "free food" would have saved up some money for a new home. Or a free permanent one, however restricted it might be.

Anyways, huh. I don't post here often.. But I've realized that my current course of education might drive me insane if I choose to actually run with it. Basically, computer support is something I don't have enough patience for. I intend to finish it, just to have something to fall back on, should all else fail. But I've decided to jump onto something that is called allmennfaglig p?bygging (a little help translating this?), which basically ups my choices for higher education. Most likely I'll be applying for some computer/programming related stuff, though I'm not 100% percent decided, but if things go as intended, I still have about a year and half to decided, partially, what to do.

During the day, yes. This is the only time when they're vulnerable, and should be staked thru the heart, so their unholy existence comes to an end. Cutting the head off helps, too. :stare: Still, as said, finally over with, soon. Signing papers this thursday. Thank Cthulhu and Kali for that.

Aye, I thought about it, but then I thought I'd squandered all my moneys I paid for my education, so I decided against it.

I was informed today that I a fired. I am to work for another week, then take the 2nd week off and that will conclude my obligations to the firm.

Sorry to hear that. :(

Funny. I [censored]ed and complained about the work all the time, with right most of the times; long hours, working with people who didn't often have the minimum required knowledge to even spell "Celeron" properly (yet they NEEDED a serious gaming PC for less than 200 euros), not having time to even have lunch, coming home to sit and feel enormous misanthropy... yet, it still feels like a kick in the gut. Guess I'll be able to say "Good riddance" only after some time passes.

...waltzing Matilda, waltzing Matilda, who'll come a' waltzing Matilda with me?...

After 13 months of unemployment, I will finally have a job again. :)

EDIT:
I never would have guessed that i'd be happy to be hired by Walmart, but dammit I want to make some money.

Hello everyone! Long time no see. Being on deployment kind of limits your access to the web, you know?

Speaking of deployment: I'm in Thailand right now!

So far, i've had a great time. Went out with some friends and hit the beaches, then hit the bars afterward :foodndrink:. Yesterday I did a COMREL (Community Relations project) that involved a bunch of us going to a Thai gradeschool and fixing up their playground for them. We repainted the swingsets, slide and monkey bars, cut off protruding bolts and metal edges, and then shoveled gravel onto the ground to make it safer for the kids (as it was just the hard dirt ground before then). It was a lot of hard work (especially the shoveling gravel part), but afterwards the kids at the school put on a musical performance for us and we got to eat some great Thai food, so it was all worth it in the end. It felt good to help out the local community, too, especially considering how underfunded a lot of the schools in this country are.

Let's see, what else? Well, so far I have visited the following countries in the last 6 months or so: Japan, Singapore, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (twice), and Thailand. Each port call has been a blast. I'll write about them all once we pull back into the States and I have more free time. As relaxing as the port calls are, the work in-between them is decidedly less-so, and since we are still on deployment I still have to get work done.

Anyway, just thought i'd pop in here for awhile and see how everybody was doing. Nice to see the Lair is still up and running. I'll be on for a bit longer, but after that I'll have to get back to work.

So, I'm in a band, and we're going to open up for the Village People in a 4000 seat theater on Valentine's day.

COOL, HUH?

I just thought I'd let you know, as I currently have excitement overflowing out of me. It's getting all over my keyboard...

 I haven't heard from you in a while, I was getting worried your ship got eaten by a kraken. D: Glad to know you're doing well, and traveling the seven seas. The most I've traveled this year... mmm... thirty minutes by car. >.<; Make sure to tell us all about your swashbuckling adventures! Even if they aren't really swashbuckling, I'm sure you've got some interesting tales and life lessons and words of wisdom to share.

I've learned that raviolis are delicious. :liplick: And I never thought my feet could feel colder than frozen, but today proved me wrong.

-------------

In other news.... my dog, Muffin, has a cyst on her tummy the size of a gold ball. Lab work shows it isn't infected. If the pre-anesthesia bloodwork says Muffin is healthy enough, then we have the option to have the cyst surgically removed. This is going to require a lot of thinking - there are certainly risks of letting the cyst stay, but there are also risks for such an old girl being put on anesthesia.

New fire alarms have been installed. I feel safer already!

And Switchgames said one of my feedback ideas was so good, they are going to implement it! :talk: I tend to think that all the good ideas must have already been thought up before, but I guess not. I'm honored and tickled pink. Feedback is awesome stuff - for product development or something like a relationship. That's something I'm glad I learned during my brief enrollment at an entrepreneurial Engineering College.

Well yesterday I had latin 2nd block , normal day we mess around for some of the block until something happens. Our latin teacher farts while reading the questions, it was LOUD! Even better he blamed two other students on it and didn't admit it himself. Also, second time in therapy was well too , just asking questions what type of woman I would like to be and other stuff. Today our teacher in chem lit some sulfur and zinc and it was cool and the whole class might do the same on friday.

Worst. Exam. Results. Ever.

Although on the plus side at least I only need to do one more year of uni now instead of two. Whole bloody system's a joke anyway, and I'll be more than happy to see the back of it.
