Ever have a day where pretty much everything goes wrong in the worst possible way? Yeah, welcome to my Nov the 29th!

Mines December 14th. Every day for the last six years I've been ill on that day. Everything just seems to fall apart on that day.

Well lurkers, I've been sick for the past week, coughing like crazy and I have a bad sinus head ache. And yet I still go to school, I hate missing my classes. Nothing new in my life, Dad's gf is still  and annoys the hell out of me.
Also I noticed in one of emails that WoW gave me 7 free days of gameplay. They just want to pull me back in but I'll never do it!
That is all.

My heart was broken. That is all.

I'm Sorry Sheikah :(.

Well... yesterday was my birthday, it was all right for a school day. Parents made me pasta carbonara and red velvet cake, I had some friends over and afterwards we went to the mall to see The Fantastic Mr. Fox. It was, indeed, a curious movie. The art direction had a pervasive air of... being quite British. I liked it nonetheless. I had no idea Willem DeFoe was supposed to be in it as Rat, though given his appearance in
Spoiler
Boondock Saints 2
going unbilled seems to be his new modus operandi. Either that or he's not cool anymore :P.

I heard the movie got bad reviews; didn't live up to the book. I didn't read the book, but I might now. Also, Ash was pretty endearing, being grumpy and wearing a cape all the time. "You're not my lab partner. You're disloyal."

I got some checks for my b-day, so I might go buy myself an iPod touch today.

Hey lurkers. Hi Summer!

Not sure the last time I posted here, but I moved! I found a job at a web development company about 2 months ago up near Chicago and moved up here. It is pretty fun, and the pay is a lot better than working at Illinois State, plus I'm learning a lot more. I ordered parts for a new computer and I should have them all by Friday. I am pretty excited. I went shopping the day after Thanksgiving and bought a new computer chair. My brother, sister, and I went to Target and the line was over 2 hours long, so my brother decided he didn't want some tv seasons that bad. I'm done with all of my Christmas shopping now.

My parents got a new 42" Panasonic plasma tv and a Panasonic Blu-ray player over the crazy Thanksgiving weekend, and my brother and I hooked both of them up for the parents. My dad is in heaven watching sports - before all we had was a 20" tube television. They are getting a Wii for Christmas from my brother, my sister, and I. I think they will really enjoy it.

Well, that's about all I have. I work 4-midnight, so I'm going to start getting ready for that.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hey lurkers.....

My great grandmother passed away tonight. She was 95 years old and this last week has been hard on her. She had been in hospis for about two weeks and on monday we got news that she probably wouldn't last the week. As sad as it makes me to know that she has passed, i'm thankful for the time and memories I have with her and my family and that she is no longer suffering. I will miss her a lot though. :cold:

That svcks WoOdElF. Losing a loved one is always sad.
Nothing to say here on my part... except going to a larger Magic tournament back on Saturday. Even though we had like 8 rounds of play I still went 2/4/0 (2 wins, 4 losses, 0 draws) before dropping. Had one game where I was attacking with a 5/5 http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=191374 and a 4/4 http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=189877 when my opponent had very little life left, forcing him to block. Needless to say he lost the following turn. Plus the people I rode with were doing bad early so they dropped and went to see Ninja Assassin (there was a theater near the mall where we were playing).

My grandma's in bad shape from chemo, from cancer, and from getting infections at hospitals and incompetent nurses and doctors. She's heading out of the hospital and into a nursing home now, and she'll have a person with her 24/7 (personal health assistant or something) - something my uncle insists on. Anyway, she's not doing great at all, and didn't even want my mom to come visit her (grandma lives a few states away) given the poor condition she's (my grandma) in. That's my last grandparent; once she goes, I'm out of grandparents. End of life svcks. I don't want to go like that. Put me in the Arena and let me go out nobly and with glory, rather than withering away and allowing health care to bleed my family member's finances dry.

Went christmas shopping today. Went to a toystore where there was a pretty cute girl working the checkout. I bought a model Subaru Impreza STi for one of my friends, and she told me about how she drives one of the older models of WRX, and even goes to see the rallies around here and has met Ken Block. Also she likes magic tricks.

Wanted to ask for her number, but woulda been weird since she was working. Eh, not like I'm gonna see her outside of the store otherwise hmm? But it would be double-weird to go back in another time just for that.

Boring day otherwise.

Last week of work. And school, for this year, I guess. A bit groggy as of late, given my lack of sleep. Can't believe I've survived yet another year in this limbo (no, not the contest). Been having trouble with the ol' temper, but thankfully I've managed to get myself a punching bag, ought'a help vent out the worst fumes of hatred. Also somewhat introspective, come the end of the year, glad that I accomplished the sole goal I set for myself...well, actually, several years ago, but I managed to complete it this winter. Showed that comic who's boss, yeah. Things seem to be going somewhat smoothly, paid all my tuition fees and other expenses, should be starting to slowly earn myself something for a rainy monsoon season soon. It's never a day, m'afraid. A bit daft this early in the morn', but I won't let it slow me down.

So, l?rkers, that is all for now. Buggered to get any sleep, but I'll try. I just hope I'll manage to get some before New Years'...bloody nuisance with the folks going around banishing demons with their noisy rockets. They've been starting earlier each year, and taking longer each year, too. *Sigh* I just want to sleep. Too much to ask, I guess.

Sorry to hear that, Sheikah. I hope you broke his kneecaps in order to convey your feelings about the matter?

This Saturday is Muffin's 13th Birthday! I stopped by a pet store yesterday to get our dogs more food, and I also picked out a treat for her - a 4 inch long piece of deer antler (they shed their antlers every year, you know)! Can't get more natural than that, right? The package said the antler marrow has a lot of good nutrients. I think she'll enjoy it. ^_^

Aww, that's great! Happy birthday for the foliage-stealthy corgi! :D *Confetti*

...Hail corgi.

Mice in the walls, took care of that with some mouse traps. Sorry little mice, but I'd rather you not stink up my room for a week after you die in the walls.

Been playing Trine a lot, it's pretty darn fun! I'm so glad I was able to get it to work properly with my Logitech controller, though it did take a bit of detective work and trial and error. I'm in the Crypts of the Damned at the moment, I think. One the PS2 front, I'm still chipping away at God of War 2 on Hard mode. I bought Savage Skies yesterday at Gamestop, it looks like it could be really cool (I haven't played it yet).

The weather has been blessedly mild the past day or so, but the driveway (at least, the portion in front of our house) is a skating rink of ice.

Only one more final exam - for Chemistry - this Friday, and then I'm done with this semester. :woot:

Just got back from Elgin, IL three days ago. Had a two day Christmas drill at home. Got a bunch of oil and grease on me from the humvee. Found out I deploy as a heavy machine gunner. Birthday was on the 13th. Yay for being legal now. Girlfriend's pregnant. Hooah! Now I can finally be a statistic. My lips a chapped. Which svcks because I know that licking them doesn't help but I do it anyway. My mom got me an acoustic guitar for christmas. Now I can bang on it like I know what I'm doing it. I really wanna smoke but I still haven't replaced that Chevy Cavalier some of you may rememeber I totalled three days after buying. So I can't drive anywhere. I'm here in Smithfield(aka bum f'ed), West Virginia, with little to do except get mad at Red Faction: Guerilla for crapping out on me after only playing it two times. I'm gradually beating Assassin's Creed one, agitated with myself because I already bought the second one and it mocks me just sitting on my tv stand. I played Modern Warfare 2 for three days. Got to twenty. Quit after I repeatedly failed to get the nuke after being only two-three kills away. So now here I sit. Tired. Sore.(I just played literally 3 hours of Wii sports). And I still want a damn cigarette!

Thermodynamics exam tomorrow. The lecturer told us we're not getting any formula sheets or anything, because we should know it all. I've just written up everything I need to remember - twenty A4 pages of formulae and graphs. Twenty pages. [censored]. THAT. [censored].

If your lecturer/teacher tells you you need to memorise all the formulae and standard results, feel free to do something very, very, very unsavoury to them. And then quit the class, because it's really just not worth it.

I'm currently trapped in Western Virginia. The snow slowed, so hopefully we can get some salt(assuming they know wtf it is) or snow plows in this biatch.

I'm pretty angry because the only reason I'm even here is because I was bypassing a rock slide. Basically, nature just bent me over and spanked me.

Both interstates are closed because of accidents.

I spent most of last night digging my car out of various ditches, and then trying to make it up the ramp into the hotel parking lots. Currently there are about 10 people that are all teaming up, digging each other out of their parking spots.

Its amazing how vague the forecast was, i listened to local radio for 3 hours and I didn't hear a whisper about a snow storm until I was completely parked... 2 semis jackknifed at the same point on the road in both directions.

Hey lurkers how are all of you?

well christmas is creeping up and so is my christmas skype session with my special girl :) Another almost record breaking conversation, 5 hours on thursday night! 11pm-4am with skype almost every night now hooray :). I'm looking forward to christmas just in general because itll be a day that will mean everyone i know will stop moaning they are bored!

I played xbox 360 for the first time in six months today! the original assassins creed. I played for about an hour before i got sick of it.

Looking for a course in bar work at the local hospitality and tourism school. I withdrew my application for the apprenticeship in IT. Wasn't for me.

Today is Muffin's thirteenth birthday! :celebrate: She gets steak for breakfast and dinner. The deer antler present didn't turn out so great - it is very hard, and both dogs were discouraged when their teeth didn't seem to be making any marks on the tough outer bone. I might go to the market today, so I can pick up a soup bone for her - I know she likes those.

I finished Trine, it's a really fun game. Now I can either play Rise of the Argonauts or install the Fallout Trilogy (which I got for Mirror's Edge in a trade on Switchgames). On the PS2, I'll probably try to advance to the next save point in God of War 2, or play more of the first campaign in Savage Skies.

It has been bitterly cold the past few days, in the single digits without wind-chill -- with wind chill, it has been below zero Fahrenheit. I had to go to my last final exam yesterday, and it was late in the evening, so my car was an icebox (no room in the garage for my car). My gloves were useless, and my thighs were frozen. My jacket and hat and boots kept me warm, though. Still, the boots have to be returned because they are not comfortable - they go up to mid-calf, and when I walk, it digs into my calf. It is so hard to find boots, but my mom heard of a retail store about half an hour away, so we might try looking there. It will be nice to actually try on the boots, as opposed to hoping what I pick out online will fit.

Happy Birthday to Muffin

Hope your exams went well.

It's very cold here in London too, at least 0 Celcius, and has snowed a few times in the last few days.

Don't'cha mean 'sleeted'? :P

Meanwhile, here in the colonies, we had one day in the high thirties and the rest have mostly been around the mid to low twenties (hundred-ish fahrenheit, seventy five-ish fahrenheit?) . Sunny with the occasional thunderstorm.

Bike's been going fine, have generally managed to be sensible (about two days ago I did a couple of stupid things on a pretty short trip, was all sluggish in the head :(. So I kept off it for the rest of the day).

I'm not very good when it comes to talking about myself :hehe:.

Godamn my school for not letting me do the GCSEs I wanted to, and instead making for forcing me to do subjects I have no interest in! Basically, coloring in 4 A3 pieces of paper is tedious, boring and just a bit disorientating looking at a gaudy mix of blues, yellows and pinks. I wouldn't mind but this is Geography, and not art. I haven't even started on the [censored] isolines. I know I shouldn't moan, but endless coloring and stating the bleedin' obvious is really sodding boring after a while.

Here on Long Island we are getting snow and it is supposed to be a blizzard overnight... although I never trust the weatherman since he is usually wrong.

I made a schedule to go out to lunch with my grandparents, looks like I may have to cancel. <_<
