Major ideas for next patch. Read this Bethesda!

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:09 am

Am i the only one that did not have any bugs in the game?? I play on the xbox 360 and the only time i had a bug issue was when the dragons were floating in the air and bugged up there but that was it.
Pretty much my story on the PS3. The only thing I've run into has been a VERY SLIGHT lag in certain spots, and an invisible NPC right after I installed patch 1.4. Other than that and a few freezes when I first got the game, nothing. I don't get why so many people are having so many problems and I'm not.

Give console players some useful PC-mods please!
Would it be so hard to do that?!
Talk to SONY and MS about that. I believe they are the only ones blocking mods for the consoles, although I confess I don't know how technically difficult it would be to program for console mods.

You want a fix for a NPC movement bug with custom houses/buildings? How on earth would that help all console users that can't even mod in new houses. And why should Bethesda fix a bug that is created by the user? You got me puzzled on that one.
It is not a console thread or forum, just general skyrim and all the good players are on PC. What does the PC need, a fix for the navmesh bug that is stopping great mods such as Kvatch rebuilt, or aftermath that came out for Oblivion. Wouldn't you want a winterhold rebuilt or anything?
Mods feed creativity and most features in Skyrim were mods from Oblivion, what well the next game have if Skyrim only has weapon mods? Not much and it would be a shame.

Now that is a rude statement. Saying that all the good players are on the pc.

Here is a major issue I have with this game, they should fix my enemies so they actually respawn in and around dungeons and my plant life as well all over the world in various places my plants will not regrow so I cannot pick them for alchemy. The world is becoming dead the linger I play with a character this bug began in patch 1.2 or 1.3 and the respawns work fine if I remove the patch.

Also Bethesda should address that ash piles do not always properly clean up I found this out with ny necromancer I made after 1.4.
also please fix NPC schedules so they actually SLEEP sometimes. and don't talk to me in their sleep either...

This. No glowy interactive markers in TES please. They may suit some cartoony games (like Fable *spits*) but I'd prefer that the art direction in future TES games continue to take a more realistic approach.
people are taking this out of context.

the guy's idea was a perk (maybe even a spell?) similar to clairvoyance but for mining. that could be another star in the armor tree without problems i think.

as for the ps3 version, Todd Howard said they knew the game was broken at release. And they had a sphincter shrinking moment when 1.2 fell on its face. But they still sent everyone on vacation for the holidays and we waited and waited until 1.4 was releasd.

IGN, gameinformer and kotaku have all published content "re:Skyrim broken on PS3" so its not a myth. I'm glad for you if your copy hasn't been a stuttering crashing mess since 11.11.11 but stop with the hating on the people who have had a crappy experience and/or are aggravated by the lack of care this company has shown those paying customers.

Ok, here's what I think:

1 - Sure, why not. It seems odd that so few people use horses in Skyrim.
2 - That would be nice, but would be a lot of work to redo every animation for that position. I could live without it.
3 - Currently swords go on the left hip, axes on the right. They would have to redo the animation to show swords on the right hip also (and axes on the left). Again, not sure it's worth it.
4 - Can't say that missing ore is a real problem in this game. I might have missed one or two ... but so what? There's plenty to find.
5 - I already do this. Just give them something better than what they are currently wearing. Always works for me.
The game often doesn't know what I think is better, though.

I guess I didn't miss out on much, playing Oblivion on a 360.

Actually, you missed a ton. The handful of mods Bethesda swiped amount to a drop in the ocean.

Hmmm, Beth swipe ideas from the modding community?

I play on the 360, yet I still want the Navmesh bug patched.

Patches are more ment to fix bugs, the DLC is where some of this stuff will come in.

After "A Chance Arrangement", Brand-Shei stays in Riften Jail forever, instead of a few days like he is supposed to. He can be spoken to from inside his cell and he is wearing his clothes from before. This occurs on all platforms and is due to his schedule not updating. This should be fixed.

A good assassination for people who are sleeping would be gently roling them onto their back then grabbing your dagger with two hands and plunging into their heart. And no I am not messed up.

I agree with 2,3 and 5.

Lets hope they balance magic, and make daggers worth using.
