Major ideas for next patch. Read this Bethesda!

Many game months would be enough time for an infant to develop into... a slightly larger infant.

Actually, considering that the ingame clock keeps going, and there will be about 4-5 years (I guess) until the next TES game, if you keep playing on the same character, I bet a few years of in game time will pass.

I mean, sure, a lot of people would never reach the older ages of the children, but it would be a quite rewarding way to keep playing on the same character...

would also be more tragic should they perish in some way since so much time was invested in their upbringing lol i mean you'd be much more careful with them since it takes an age for them to reach maturity(yes you could reload but thats not fun for RP :P )

Thanks for posting ideas for future updates. We'll have details on the next update, 1.6, in the very near future.

A reply from Bethesda is fantastic, thanks!

And thanks to all the replies, i love to see all this feedback!

So some feedback of my own. The having kids idea... it seems worthless. It'd require to much work and is essentially useless in the end. Becoming a dragon? Just drink werewolf blood (Companions quest line) and get the Ring of Hircine. As many transformations as you want! And they run fast. And the taking over a fort and becoming Jarl. What would be the point?

I just have a few ideas that Bethesda REALLY needs to consider for upcoming patches!

An option to buy a horse for your companion so that they never fall behind.
Animations for assassinations on people sitting down or sleeping.
If you're dual-wielding.. why can you only see a weapon on your left hip? Fix it!
Add an item or perk that adds a slight glow to ores to make them easier to spot.
Give us the ability to choose what our followers wear.

These are all my ideas for now, please tell me what your think!

All well and good, and they are good ideas but I would rather they fix the clean up issue with dropped weapons of fallen NPC and the atomic nirnroot glow. Both are responsible for save file bloat and eventual corrupted saves which is keeping me from enjoying my characters as much as I did in Morrowind and Oblivion. My first toon in Skyrim lasted till his 210hr mark before that save became to buggy to play, another 180hr toon gone the same way, and yet another 140hr toon, that's 530ish ( Idon't remember the exact hours played with each ) hours that I had to throw away and that's just 3 out of 10 toons made there where 2 more that I had to get rid of. Where as I had one toon in Oblivion last me 1000+ hours and the same in Morrowind, they really need to get this under control.

i agree that the bugs need to be fixed specially on the ps3 :P

The point is people enjoy additional content. Not everyone wants to sit there and kill sleeping people while looking and the hilts of both their weapons when duelwielding.

Not joke, I really hope thy don't waste their time adding your own children into the game.

All I want is complete control over your followers inventories, no hidden weapons or items and they equip what you choose them to. Also add a follower sneak system, for assassinations.

Increased Level cap and harder end game content. Ex. Daedric dungeons with epic loot and boss at the end.

:i would like to travel to other nations or places ,
:morphing into other creatures would be sick as hell :D ,
:i would like to see more acrobatics in the game eventually ,
:more clothing styles, more weapons , more armour styles ,
:would like to create my own lair and chose the location of it as well ( creating a covern of mages or witches ).
:ok this maybe is a stretch but i would also like the ability to be able to fly ( turn into a smokey entity and speed through the air and land where ever i please)
this ability would only be granted untill you become a extreamely powerfull mage ... or something.
:more marriage dialog would be awesome.

:there is a point to what ppl would like to see in the DLC , bethesda have the capability to anything , they have created an awesome game that has changed the gaming world .
to jRebel94 i dont want to be a werewolf .... i want to be a dragon .... i dont like werewolves i find them boring .

:the whole getting married and having kids doesnt personaly interest me but the option is kool i guess and i dont disagree with puting it in the game .

I'd like to see following fixes/changes in:

- Reanimated people. They usually turn to dust after traveling trough doors (does not apply on dead thralls). Also when fast travelled inside a city acting as an interior, dead thralls may appear outside of the city, mainly in the places where your horse stays. I also noticed that cloak spells will kill all of my summonings when cast.

- Illusion perk: Aspect of terror. There is a bug on it that it adds +10 more damage to ALL of your fire spells. I don't complain about it, but to me it's a bit silly.

- Alduin himself. I noticed that he should have had an ability that adds 50% resistance to all damage sources (spells included?). Instead this ability isn't working on him at all. Leveled melee damage would be nice on him also. I also noticed in the CT that he's fire breath's duration is 3 seconds (except the first variation of it that is 2 seconds. Bug?), while he's frost breath's duration is just 1 second. Should he's frost breath duration be like at the same level as his fire breath? Right now is more weaker than fire breath.

Top fifteen things I want!
----------------------
1. Please add children of all races, the ability to change a spouse's clothing/weapons, and the ability to have children and let them grow to be a teenager, wouldn't make much sense for them to look as old as their parent.
2. More detailed characters. Maybe even branch out on existing characters. *cough*Brand-Shei*cough*
3. Tell more about the current state of all the provinces. Maybe through random traveler's or something.
4. More random encounters.
5. Anything, optional of course, that will enhance roleplaying.
6. Creating your own companion, and will equip anything you want them to. Maybe pick between a few options on how you want their personality to be, and have them have a questline and have interesting radiant quests.
7. Ability to edit hair, scars and things of that nature should stay the same.
8. Make the races more diverse, by that I mean add more into the world, I know it is the home of the Nords but....come on! xD
9. Khajiit to not be welcome in cities. Maybe tagged onto the hardcoe mode.
10. A hardcoe mode where you need sleep, food, and water.
11. The ability to make your own village. Only if it is interesting....I'd rather it not be in the game at all than be done poorly.
12. More clothes, armor, spells, and weapons.
13. If there's any way to better the radiant system, do it. xD (Not that it is bad, just wish it were better!)
14. Maybe the ability to form a faction?
15. Again, anything to make roleplaying better to immerse myself.

i do like the idea of puting the staff on the characters back again

Well you can dual wield staves, so how would that work if you were holding 2?

And a lot of ideas i'm seeing are "Having your own fort, having your own village, having your own family"

Seriously guys, those ideas would take too long to make and cause the patches to be huge. Want your own family and house? Seriously, go play the Sims.
As for traveling to other regions.. that would also take WAY to long to make. I mean, isn't Skyrim big enough? I think it is.

I do, it is a lot of fun, but I enjoy Skyrim far, far more......so imagine if it combined both =p

Also, the double staff thing could work like the swords, only show one.

So you complained about pulling a staff out of mid air, but now you're suggesting you pull a staff out of mid air... ?

I don't recall complaining about it. I simply stated a way it could work in the game's current state....

Well someone said that they didn't like pulling a staff out of mid air. There is a way to fix dual wielding pretty easily. For 2 staves, just allow them both to overlap on your back. And obviously for 1 handers, just 1 on each hip.

I would have them lay one above the other on your back. In the current state of the game, though, you'd have to pull one out of mid air, assuming they just added the staff on your back.

So, either way you go, you want 1 staff to remain invisible?
