Source?
Unlikely though, mods are intellectual property of another party. In order to get them to transfer to a console you would need to get a waiver from their creator(s) or you would be breaching quite a few laws. In doing so Beth would be taking one hell of a risk and be collecting money from another person's work, so it would likely involve royalties to the mod creators which in turn would lead to a lot more isuees.
Wrong. AFAIK, all mods are property of Bethesda, regardless of who did them.
That doesn't mean that (most) modders would be happy to see those two (M$/$ony) filthy rich companies to obtain an even greater benefit, at the cost of their own work (which is a lot of it...go create a decent quality mod if you don't believe it). So unless they'd offer the mods for free, mods for consoles would surely tear apart the modding community, with a lot of it's work going underground. That's the reason I'm completely against it.
And anyways, having in mind the amount of resources that'd take, plus how they're usurer enough to reclaim $40.000 to publish A PATCH....I think I prefer not to imagine what would take to filter, convert, anolyze and publish user-made mods.
