I feel unique with my full name now :celebration: , I'm (according to some website) the only person with my full name in the US, and only one of a few thousand that have my first name. Though I do share it with a stupid character from a stupid show :yuck: .
I never saw a problem with people with common names, that just means you get to give them a nick name :twirl: . Though I could see why it might be a problem when you have a whole class with the same(ish) name. At least they have a normal name, and not something silly like "Four" (or "4", if you want to be true to their parents wishes) or something similar.
I don't really plan to have kids, so I'll hopefully never have to go through naming one, but I've always been fond of Aurora as a girls name.
See, my situation is a bit like yours. My full name is made up of three first names--three normal names (with my mom's Hispanic last name just randomly chucked in at the end along with my dad's Welsh last name). I've checked and, as far as I know, there are no others with my same full name. And since my first and last name is more common in the reverse, people tend to call me that way instead, which infuriates me because I'm not even of that gender and it should be obvious.
My first name itself is normal, but somewhat uncommon. I've only met/seen fewer than ten people with my first name, and that includes actresses and such. People seem to love it a lot; I personally believe it's an old lady name (probably because of all the Golden Girl references...), but I was given the English version of my mom's Spanish name, so I see the heritage value in that...
But yeah, whenever I meet someone with my name, it's kinda strange. I even felt kinda weird having the same name as a Doctor Who companion.
