It would be pronounced like the "ay" in hay and then "va" like in avacado. And I happen to like the name Ava. :P

I would name my son caligula, after the roman emperor (who was notidly insane), but mostly because I dont want any kids. and if girl Averious after the greek godess of greed and lust.

But hey, its the future. every one will look the same and have simular names. Didn't you know that... I guess every one will eventually be either skatter punk or emo/goth.

Side note, but kinda related.

Has any one noticed how the names of movies have gotten so un original. like seriously: hurtlocker, shutter island (and many more) I think that all the good names have been legally obtained and now we will have movies that dont actually svck but have names so terrible that they imply that they do svck.

If I ever have kids, someone kill me if I even suggest a ridiculous name.

So far all I have is "Lianne" for a girl's name. Which my girlfriend is simply not having, because of who Lianne is. I've always liked Rhuaraidh for a boy's name, but unfortunately it goes really bad with my surname (which also ends in the "-y" sound). Could possibly go a Calum.

Sounds like a corruption of the name "Eva" which I think is short for Evaline?

Phonetic spelling certainly has its advantages...

No, see, if my parents had named me Viagra I would be forced to kill them.
Slowly.

Also they did not actually name me after a pharmaceutical product. It just sounds like it should be one.

Juan? Jesus? Javier? Jorje? Jonas? Jim-Bob? Jessica?

Based on several circumstances in my life, I also believe any girl named McKenzie or any variation is doomed.

That is so random, I know only two Mckenzies. One, an old neighbor I had I used to play with all the time when I lived in KY. The other, my CAT! Is this super popular somewhere not where I live :P lol

Nevermind that it is a surname. It's like naming someone... *thinks* Turnbull or Lieberman or Grometstein.

I haven't seen very many people named James where I am, perhaps because its an English name though.

If I had a son I'd probably name him Scott or Patrick, I like Irish and Scottish names, and my parents apparently like English ones.

Yup in the Pac NW I think maybe a sloppy eight? Another in (I think she's in Nebraska now)... I had a hard time with Justin becoming popular in recent years too.

@ the Corg! no doubt! :P

I would totally name my son Tim. First day in preschool, when the kids introduce themselves, I'll teach him to stare off in to the distance and say, "There are those who call me, Tim?"

At least you can call yourself Zoe(y), so that isn't bad.

My name is very plain... William Joseph [insert last name here]. I'd prefer to be called Wilhelm Josef. Now to learn some German.

I named my daughter Nina because it is a name used in Scandinavia and we were able to use Kanji for it as well making it a perfectly reasonable Japanese name.
Her middle name is Maitreya, which is the future Buddha & the embodiment of loving compassion. I thought it worked better than "Wayne" :P
