We Need A Marriage DLC!

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 4:09 pm

I can see it now:

The Elder Scrolls V: The Sims 3 Invasion

Just kidding man. You may want this, but I'd rather see the Thalmor get their slimy (expletive)'s kicked from here back to Summerset Isle instead.
We'll destroy your precious world human. Tamriel belongs to the Elves. US.

Or simply ignore it and focus on what really matters, the content.

Except it is content. You're able to ignore the marriage aspect of the game like any other. I can play for hours without questing, dungeon-hopping, or even fighting if I really wanted to.

Marriage for Khajiits and Argonians?

Haha that's a funny joke.

Why is that funny?

And yes, I realized I had spelled Khajiit wrong in my original post; I can never remember how to spell it. I think they are cute though, next play through I'm being a kitteh.

Why did they add marriage if it was unfinished? It's so stupid that with some amulet I can just ask woman if she likes me and then she will marry me

I wouldn't call it unfinished. It's very much finished in it's current form. It's just very, very shallow and, perhaps, rushed.

The Thalmor will be merry to know they will have what they want after they pry it from the cold frigid hands of Sithis. I will see to it that every last Thalmor swine is crucified in their cities as i breed my elite army of assassins below the earth in Black Reach. Long live Man, long live Skyrim. Death to the Aldmeri Dominion!!! On Topic: Yes Marriage needs to be expanded upon, they also need to fix the spouse dieing and not being able to remarry thing. My wife got roasted by a dragon, "Arkay rest her Dunmer soul." But now I cant marry anyone else it svcks.

The marriage system in its current state should have been left out of the game.

Completely agree, they should have added fewer choices that covered all the bases (race, six, sixuality) but given them more detail, quests, dialogue, courtship. Sure I'd be dissappointed x, y or z would be unmarriable or the opposite sixuality but if the trade of was someone without personality of a plank of wood and choice between 50 planks of wood (which of so many they completely forgot about certain wood types) and having them provided a more interesting experience then magically filling pockets of gold, like quests and the ability to divorce and remarry it'd be a good one. Failing that then not bother at all and put the little effort and lines towards other areas of the game that need to remain in it and direly need more lines of dialogue.

I wanted to marry Hroki (found near the Markarth marketplace). The most beautiful character in game :) Sadly i couldn't! Ah well...

Just make the marriage cerimony a little more alive and festive. It looked more like a funeral service than a marriage one :shakehead:

I don't think they had a choice.

It's more along the lines of "Oh [censored], these guys are ransacking Tamriel, and sacked the Imperial City, if we don't join them, they'll kill our sacred moving trees, which are our homes, our sources of food, etc etc. We need to join them to preserve our way of life." And then the Thalmor are such asses that they perform racial purges on not just the Bosmer, but everybody else.
yeah,The dwemers were almost [censored] up,they didn't had a choice unless use the Hearth of Lorkhan to try save themselfs at the Battle of Red Mountain.

you want to pay for a DLC for something that was delivered in an unfinished state !!!

I think with 650 million $ in profit for a development cost of 50 million $$$
they sort of owe us to fix, polish, repolish and upgrade all the unfinished and tarnished stuff like marriage ....

and then deliver some serious DLC, and by that I mean privincial size DLC

let s be honest here, if they made a 1000% profit selling the game 50$ a pop
they can afford to take some risk to create 30$ provincial DLC

I m taking in account that over 50% of the job is already done
-the engine is complete (that s over 50% of the work)
-the race body, animations and voices are done
-the core gear , fauna, flora is done

so all that s left is province specific stuff and world creation
at 50$ even if they sell only to 10% of the player it still turn out a 100% profit.

there is no excuses for going down a different path

- New Marriageable Women - Vex, Sapphire, Lisette, Mirabelle Ervine, Carlotta Valentina, Elisif the Fair, and much, much more!

*[SPOILER]*
Well that is good and all but you have to be careful who is in the mod, because in the College of Winterhold Quests Mirabelle dies.

Now this [censored] annoys me.

If you are going to post a spoiler put it into spolier tags or post in the correct section of the bloody forum

I support this, up to a point. Let's not make marriage a huge part of the game, here. Let's just patch the marriage options that are glitched, add a few options from the unrepresented races (wood elves, khajiit, redguards, etc), and make sure everyone does what they're supposed to (i.e. not run back to their old home after you tell them to move in).

I'd be super upset if this was the DlC we got. Thank goodness your not in charge of that department in Bethesda. These things should have been in the game from the start. I understand your just throwing something out there and you realize it will never happen but still DLC should be amazing and anything about marriage is not amazing in Skyrim. I want epic battles and crazy new weapons and armor. A fresh new storyline. Something along the lines of Skyrim has a darkness lurking over it, the sky is always dark purple and pitch back. People and animals are acting crazy and doing odd things. You find out a deadric prince has found a way into the world and is planning on making Skyrim his new home. You have to stop him by doing something out of this world crazy. Oh and it would be cool to travel back to the imperial city to save someone and find that it's been destroyed. You have to rebuild it and give hope back to the people.

I don't know just ideas. My point is I want something interesting and not my wife sending me out to pick berries or find her brother or go looking for her long lost aunts sachtel.
