From a Planet Fallout interview with Josh Sawyer:

"There's a nice list of names for the voice cast and I'm very much looking forward to seeing the characters behind these voices. But how large is the total pool of voices and will we hear the same voices in every settlement we visit?
Without giving a specific number, our voice cast is larger than Fallout 3's. In a game as large as Fallout: New Vegas, you're bound to hear some voices repeated, but we've tried to avoid overlap as much as possible."

To my knowledge, yes.

I looked up the entire IMDB page, and Wes Johnsons IMDB profile. Not a single thing about NV. If he has a minor role that goes uncredited, it would be different, but he's good with the more prolific roles, like that of Burke.. using him as a space-filler would be a huge waste of talent..

IMDb doesn't have all the New Vegas actors yet. They don't even have all of the 100% confirmed ones. They don't update game cast lists as quickly as movie ones.

Apart from the names mentioned already, there's also Michael Hogan (Colonel Tigh in Battlestar Galactica), Kris Kristofferson (Whistler, Blade).

There's a list of them here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Fallout:_New_Vegas_voice_actors

Looks to me like they went all-out on the voice actors.

These are not all voice actors yet, since so far there are fewer actors there than in FO3, and they said that there are more actors in FNV than in FO3 already.

Yea, but Wes Johnson is pretty big, they wouldn't forget his name. He'd probably be among the first few on the list, if he was there. Still, fingers crossed that he'll have a role..

The basic voice actors sound good too, much better than hearing the same 5 people I've been hearing since Morrowind.

Wes Johnson isn't big, he doesn't even have much voice acting experience. What's the big deal about him anyway?

Never heard of him either. But apparently his CV includes:

"the popular Elder Scrolls series of games, including Morrowind and Oblivion, where he played such characters as Lucien Lachance, the Gray Fox, the Arena Announcer, and Sheogorath (in the Shivering Isles expansion), as well as the "default" voice for all the Imperial males. He appeared in Fallout 3 as the nefarious Mister Burke as well as the Super Mutant Fawkes, the Protectrons, Sentry Bots, and Scribe Bigsley."

I guess I would not call him big but he does indeed have quite a lot of voice acting/acting experience for many years. I am hoping he did the voice again for the Protectron's at least.

Yeah, that's my point. As far as voice actors go he doesn't have a lot of experience, and thus isn't a big name. I don't have a problem with him per se, I think he's pretty good, but there's a larger pool of higher quality voice actors to pull from in California.

That's a good point, it would be a bit silly if Protectrons sounded nothing like they did in Fallout 3.

Wes is actually not one of the voice actors in New Vegas.... sorry. We did all our recordings on the west coast for Fallout: New Vegas, and Wes is an East Coast guy. We're still a big fan of Wes' work.

I get the gist that the ones that Beth uses often are frequently around the radio/theater scene in the DC area.

Generic Old Lady voice is Diana Sowle, for instance, who is active in the theater venues in DC. You may know her as Mrs. Bucket from the Willy Wonka movie that had Gene Wilder in it.

Wes is a radio host (talk show? DJ?) in DC as well.

Wes is the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals... if you ever have a chance to go to a game, he's amazing. Caps are pretty damn good, too.

To be honest.

Kris Kristofferson is my favourite and most underappreaciated name on this list. Dude always gets way too little credit for the things hes done in his career.
