The Tebow trade might not go through. Denver wants 5 million of backpayment that the Jets don't want to pay. We'll see.

In other news, the Lawfirm signed with the Bengals, so Mr. No-fumble is gone from the Pats. :(

Guess no playoffs for them?

Err that was for the Saints.

As for Tebow, lol backpayment after kicking him in the ass?

Yeah I heard about that, Denver is being really dumb.

Law Firm is a big signing for the Bengals, Pats are going to wish they put the Franchise Tag on him instead of Welker.

Apparently the Jets didn't read Tebow's contract fully. LOL. What a typical Jets move. What a mess they are.

Sanchez is going to be DOA as a starter within the 1st 4 games if he struggles. If you thought the fans complaining in Denver was bad, in New York it'll be even worse.

Also Goodell went too far with the Saints especially with Sean Peyton, a whole year is outrageous. Further proof that the product is getting dumbed down.

Dumbed down?

What does that even mean? Is "dumbed down" just the new catch phrase for anything we don't like now? It doesn't even come close to making sense.

The fact is the NFL knew the Saints were running a bounty program back in '08-'09-ish and asked them nicely to stop. If Sean Payton and the Saints had just quit then no one would have ever heard of this whole thing. Instead the Saints ignored the commissioner, continued the program and got caught a second time and then lied and fabricated lies to cover themselves up. As we have all learned over the years, the cover-up and lying is always worse and punished harded than the original "crime."

Based on the facts the punishment is way too harsh, but that is the point of a deterrent. Do you think any team will ever run a bounty program again? Do you think any coach/GM/owner will ever ignore Goodell and do what they want anyway? Do you think anyone will ever lie to or fabricate falsehoods again?

Also Warren Sapp is saying on Twitter that Jeremy Shockey is the whistle-blower. I can't see one 'Cane doing that to another 'Cane unless they are 100% sure it is true.

I mean, I feel that the whole bounty thing is related to eventual lawsuits about long-term and later-life effects of playing football. The NFL wants to avoid being on the hook for stuff like that, for player pensions and healthcare, as much as is reasonable. If people are seriously hurt because the league wasn't officiated well, then the league is at fault.

Absolutely. I was going to mention that but forgot. One of the very few things that could ruin the NFL would be a (or multiple) multi-billion dollar workers compensation lawsuit, especially when it comes to head injuries. Everything the NFL has done in the last 18 months or so has been to try and prevent that. They will never be able to get injuries out of the game, but they have to look like they care and are doing everything they can to prevent them.

I really like the Bengals signing Green Ellis. I always rated him at NE, really solid, dependable back. Which is what you want in the NFL. I think the Bengals could be a force in the North within the next 2-3 seasons. I hope they draft well.

In other news, RG3's pro day was today. Apparently he was very impressive again. I can't wait to see how this draft pans out. Can anyone see the Colts being major dikes and trolling the 'Skins by taking him 1st over Luck?

That'd be hilarious.

I'd like to see Tebow go to Jacksonville.

I'd just love to be a fly on the wall in the 'Skins facility when Goodell announces "With the 1st overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the Indianpolis Colts Select, Robert Griffin the 3rd, Quarterback Baylor."

Snyder gets buuuuurned!

EDIT: Does anyone know where the 2nd round picks go, that the Saints lost?

They just vanish, there will only be 31 picks in the second round.

Apparently, according to the four letter network, so we know how wrong they can be, Tebow now gets tohttp://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/7718133/tim-tebow-pick-trade-new-york-jets-jacksonville-jaguars-source-says I hope he ends up going to the Jags, although I would enjoy the mess it would create in New York if he ended up going there too. Although, in terms of rattling Sanchez, most of the damage has already been done. LOL Jets.

He'll most certainly go to the Jags, that would be the smart move.

But what if he has a calling to go to the Jets? According to Little Nicky Joe Namath went to hell, so they need some more holy-like Jets representation.

He likes the south, and I'm thinking he'd love to play for a team like Jacksonville.

If he denies Jacksonville though, it would be hilarious.

I am a dissapointed Broncos fan. What an idiotic move... I know Payton Manning is a great quarterback but really? Trading someone who has potential? I mean John Elway started of as bad or even worse when he first started playing for the Broncos. Then what happened? Back to back superbowl wins... I thought if they worked with Tebow he would've become a great quarterback.

Darn kids and them sports games!

I think Tebow's mechanics are so far off that he's never going to be more than a surprise package, if that makes any sense? I can't see him being able to make the 50 yard posts and all that on a regular basis.
