Welp, looks like Peyton Manning is going to be a Bronco. I guess that means no more Tim Tebow, and that leaves the 49ers scrambling to get Alex Smith back I'm sure (he's been meeting with the Dolphins).

What a way to kick Tebow in the ass after all that hype.

Yup, they'll regret it longterm. The offense might've been improved with Peyton but that Defense is still overrated and they need a Tightend on offense. Maybe they'll go 9-7 and win the west but nothing more beyond that unless Peyton is exceptional but I don't see that happening.

95 million for 5 years. That's crazy money for a guy who's mid 30's and has just had a major neck operation!

Me neither. Tbf, NFL contracts are rarely as big as they seem. It's efficient, but brutal with the cutting process. I'm guessing about half will be guaranteed. That seems to be the norm.

Hines Ward officially retired. Kind of glad he didn't hang around. It's painful to see great players become irrelevant with a new team. For a wide receiver he was a class act all the way. :D

So if Manning hurts his neck next season, Denver is off the hook for everything else after that season.

Edit: I think...

This year is guaranteed for 18 million. That is the only guaranteed money in the deal. Starting in 2013, he takes a physical 10 days before camp starts every year, if he passes his money for that year is guaranteed, if not they can cut him with no penalty. The base numbers look absurd but it is a pretty fair deal to both sides.

Ok, thanks for letting us know. That's a pretty ok deal. If they can get Manning back to his old self, the Broncos could be a championship team. They need a TE though.

Theres already 4 teams rumored to be after Tebow, Miami, Jacksonville, Green Bay, and the Jets.

I have heard the Pats though as well

I think he'd be a good fit for the Pats, as a project. They have Mallet though, so I doubt they take him. He'd be a train wreck anywhere else I think. I love Tebow, but he's really not very good in comparison to his peers.

Jets are hilarious. 40 mil extension for the wet fish Sanchez. Crazy!

Wow. Goodell just told my Saints to drop their pants and bend over. Just wow.

Demeco Ryans traded to the Eagles for a 4th round pick. Great trade for the Eagles.

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole ordeal. I kinda get the feeling that all teams try and do the same, maybe not paying the players to injure guys, but i bet most of them are keen for their players to go out and hurt the opposition.

First Landry becomes a Jet, now Tebow. I might actually root for the Jets on rare occasions now.

Sanchez is going to be DOA as a starter within the 1st 4 games if he struggles. If you thought the fans complaining in Denver was bad, in New York it'll be even worse.

Also Goodell went too far with the Saints especially with Sean Peyton, a whole year is outrageous. Further proof that the product is getting dumbed down.
