I'm happy to fight them but I'm not interested in being one.

Bring back the goblins I say. I want to be a goblin lord!

I'm not really interested in playing a vampire in the main Skyrim game, though I will probably try the Dawnguard vampire side eventually, especially if they make it really fun. That said, it seemed a bit odd to have vampires in Skyrim but not really do anything with them. So it seems reasonable to expand on the them a bit in a DLC. Generally speaking, I think it is good to use DLCs to expand on or flesh out themes that are present but not developed in the main game.

Every poll I've seen recently on here ends up being just a little over a third of people who want to play a vampire. Most have said they want to join the Dawnguard. That's where I am; no interest in playing a vampire or a werewolf. Wish I was but I just don't want to play it. Same with assassins. If decide to try Dishonored, in spite of not being able to play as a female, I'd try the path with zero killing. Oh well, I still have Skyrim. :tes:

I will love to truly experience the vampire point of view, and kill some people. A whole bunch of them. :tes:

Don't care for the parasites overly much, more of a werecreature fan. But they do at least look interesting now.

No interest in playing as a vampire, I don't mind fighting them though.

Ever since i have picked up "Interview with a Vampire" I was a vampire fan.... except for the ones that sparkle.... Still there are a few things i would change for the vanilla vampires. Maybe if i ever get the time i'll try to make my own vampire mod.

Personally, I don't get the big interest in either. Let alone the "vampires vs werewolves" silliness that migrated over from Underworld.

I don't remember being forced to be a werewolf. I remember being able to walk away if the idea wasn't to my lycan.

Likewise, no one cares much about dragons

*ahem*

I love dragons. I don't care that people complain there's too many or that they're too easy. I actually haven't really had an easy fight against the stronger dragons, and that's how I like it. I would also love for there to be more dragons than there currently are.

But "vampires vs werewolves" as an idea didn't even originate from Underworld, though. It did, however, help popularize the basic idea. Not completely certain as to whether or not it was ever done on the same scale of Underworld before the initial movie's release, but there are vampire vs werewolf stories that are older than those movies AFAIK.

I agree, that's one of the main flaws of Skyrim as far as I'm concerned. A lot of quest lines should have branched out and offer player choices, but they didn't, instead the quest designer just laughed the player in the face with a "haha, now you can't play this quest line any more until you do exactly as I want!"
Spoiler
Like in this case it should have been possible to join the Silver Hand faction and fight the werewolves or something.

Cue Vampire hipsters?

I always wanted to try it, but so far the Vanilla game's Vampire seemed meh at best. New, fun stuff = more reason to try it out.

I'm personally not a fan of any of these: vampires, werewolves, vampire hunters, werewolf hunters. Therefore, I'll be sitting this one out (which would have been highly likely anyway, since I'm not into Skyrim at all)

That said, I know they're all popular options for many here, and I hope they give you a much-needed boost in your enjoyment. Best wishes to the Creatures of the Night, and those who eliminate them. May you have epic times ahead.

I don't like Vampires. They are evil. I'll stick to being a werewolf and I'll just hunt them down.
