No interest in playing as a vampire, I don't mind fighting them though.

Same here - Im hoping they put up more of a fight than the other bad guys I have hunted.

In my three hundred hours of gameplay, I only played as a vampire for a hour or so before saying this is dumb. However, seeing Dawnguard peeked my intrests and currently I'm playing a battlemage Dunmer vampire. I became one after first going to Riverwood, but before going to Whiterun so about level three or five.

Price isn't exactly a concern much although i do have a fish to take care of [off topic Sorry!] i had the money to buy it before spent it accidently etc. that pretty much continued untill yesterday and i imagine one point in the life of skyrim all the men and women did get attacked by potatoes.

It would certainly explain some of their attitudes. Those at the Radiant Raiment come to mind.

The Brotherhood are a cult of murderous assassins. They get paid to kill and enjoy it. Vincente Valitierre (sp?) leads a cell of the DB and is a vampire. The only genuinely sympathetic vampire of the whole lot is Janus Hassildor. He's the exception, not the rule.

That was him, thanks. For some reason, I always think of Lucien Lachance when I think about the DB vampire in Oblivion.

Why do people love to romanticize bloodsvcking parasites that were created by the King of [censored] for the explicit reason of flipping the bird at Arkay?

I blame Hollywood.

I'm not really interested in vampires tbh, the benefits don't seem useful enough to me. I much prefer being a werewolf (as I am one now) and whilst the werewolf doesn't really have any benefits it's fun to go nuts every once in a while and eat some people. But when Dawnguard comes out I'll probably join the Dawnguard, primarily because I'd like to fight those weird demon/vampire thingies.

I for one have not liked vampires in TES since I first tried being one in Oblivion. I didn't much like it so I've avoided it in Skyrim. Even through the movies that feature vamps vs lycans, I've always sided with the lycans. I'd rather be a living, breathing beast than a cold, undead monstrosity. However, I will make a vampire character just for Dawnguard.

I've always loved playing as a vampire. Every TES character I've had Is/has/or will be a vampire at one point. I love everything about being a vampire. The lore, the abilities/bonuses, gameplay style change/Appearence change/Social interaction change.

When Skyrim came out and gave you the ability to be a werewolf, it seems like everyone just went with that.
They mocked me, but who has the last laugh now?

I like vampires but I prefer werewolves. I will however side the vamps if possible in Dawnguard. If not I will branch my main character.

Hello Drake Malice.

Even Dracula is a Seducer and that is just another power of a Nightwalker

I can understand the allure of the Dark side. Civilized behaviour is really socially enforced, so fantasizing about what would be like to be on the other side of the fence is to be expected. Thus, I think Betehsda needs to make a strong case for playing as a Dawnguard, something which it has yet to do.

I'll admit they were funner to play as in morrowind since you could join the clan of the ones that infected the character my favourite were the ones that wore the golden masks and chased the old starving man into their fortress and then finding the old man there enslaved as a servant Ah those were the good old days of elder scrolls vamprism :)

Inb4 the next DLC allows us to become a Lich.

Isn't vampire lord, pretty much a lich form, your undead, you float, you cast spells, everyone wants to murder you, you jsut lack the bones that liches got and it's more realistic gameplay wise. Mannimarco was in normal form because is the most uber duber powerful lich lord there is(or Beth was to lazy to make him a model/unique voice). Players would be impossible to get quests as all NPC's would be afraid of you, which breaks the game, and there is no cure for lichdom either as far as I know.

Always been a vampire in Elder Scrolls! Not one of my characters is unnaflicted. Well, my dragonborn khajiit which I used just to pick up the trophies. Then I deleted him because I could care less about anything with dragons. Werewolves are awesome too! Best thing in the ES series in my opinion.

I don't know about now everyone is a Vampire fan... all of my characters have been Vampires since Daggerfall with the exception of the very rare non-Vampire character (all of... 2 characters have not been Vampires).

I've always played (and loved it) as a Vampire, so this DLC has me so excited I'm almost making puddles.

Vampires are cool, but I've never been a huge fan. I'll probably join the Dawnguard, if for no other reason than to get a crossbow.

Yes crossbows are cool and all, but when does my Jediborn get a lightsaber? I mean dragonjedi.

You see I thought I was the only one excited for the vampire lords after the game jam, which just speaks to the fact that most of you probably aren't excited for this DLC.

There's a rather popular mod for that, magicka sabers. ;-)

As for vampires...I liked them when I was a kid. In primary school I was a huge vampire fan, but lost interest at some point. I'm not even sure why. Nowadays I just can't help but roll my eyes and think 'another one?' everytime someone tells me about a new vampire series, book, game or movie. On the other hand, I rarely grow tired of watching zombie movies, so if you like vampires, that's fine with me, we all have our likes and dislikes.
The only thing, that tempts me to make fun of vampire fans is the casanova style vampires. Vampires who are so incredibly sixy and alluring that no one can resist them. It was a ridiculous idea in Bram Stoker's Dracula and it still is. It makes author and readers alike seem desperate, which is why it's unintentionally funny and vampire's shouldn't be unintentionally funny.

Personally, I don't care too much for Vampires as long they aren't 'stupid' like the ones you've said.. And Twilight's Vampires (Twilight Series is actually written pretty good but seriously, Sparkling Vampires?) Anyways, it looks like the Vampires we are about to see in this DLC look more like the ones I've seen in Van Helsing so I'm interested. (Van Helsing is one of my fave Vampire Movies).

As for Zombies, they are annoying now-a-days.. What ever happened to Resident Evil being the only Zombie Game, made it rare..? Now-a-days, we got crap load of games doing Zombies, even games like Call of Duty that isn't even about that stuff! Annoys the heck outta me, if you ask me..
