Hi all! Hope you're having a great day.

At the risk of forum lapidation, I'll post what I like and don't about the trailer, which I'v watched 3 times in a row. Bear in mind I'm not too keen on the whole vampiresque burlesque.

I did like: the Dawnguard Castle looks fantastic. It'd be worth joining the ranks just to be able to roam around freely or defend the whole structure. Darn impressive if you ask me! Also, crossbows do look neat.

I'm affraid I don't care for the rest of it. Animations look quite sluggish, a step backwards, really. Monsters, a few creatures and especially vampires look wimpish and seem to owe more to Oblivion's art direction than to SKyrim's. The magic portals appear crude and a bit cartoonish. Overall, the art style seems to be disappointing, but one will have to wait to gauge the final product.

There's no mention of any new gameplay features. We might learn about that at E3. But in the end, If it turns out to be the case, I'll be happily spending those 15 euros on a ticket to Prometheus, coupled with some low grade sushi.

Oh my god! this was a suprise! something before E3! Looks epic! and creepy! and ne locations? the dawnguard? yes you can choose between two sides!!

"Tyranny of the Sun" may not actually refer to the sun's being blotted out, but to vampires being able to live in the sun, though the darkness spreading graphic looks pretty specific.

Edited to add: OTOH the vampires winning would put an end to that silly civil war thingie pretty fast.

Travel to some sort of underworld is shown, but what part/significance will this have in the story?? Only way to kill these vamps truly and forever is to travel to the underworld to kill them? Can't just be a feeding ground for the vamps...

I play on xbox but I have to agree with you.
The game was built for xbox,pc and ps3 to one platform over the others doesn't sound like a good decision to me.

Are these vampires... or were-bats? To me, it looks more Namira-ic than related to Molag Bal.

Oh, and first reaction : pleaaase give us "real" bats. Ones you can interact with.

Not creative at all , its been done a thousand times in every media. Dwemer or Falmer or something to do with Lorkhan would have been awesome this is not. Ill pass.

Well, it does not appal to me and from what I could watch the art direction certainly hasn't won me over. Yes, it is a cliché and more so nowadays, but I reckon it is a popular cliché. Anyway, there's more to come so let's keep hoping.

This is pretty exciting. It was a nice suprise to release the trailer this week, and it looks pretty cool.

Main plot looks like Vampire Lords vs. Dawnguard. My current character will likely be Dawnguard. All in all, it looks pretty interesting. I'm going to have to watch the trailer a few more times to parse it for information. As of now, I'm interested in finding out the release dates (especially for the PC version), and what other features/content will be present beside the main quest. Also, I want to know if there is new land involved or if this is in Skyrim.

Yes, it reminded me of Sovngarde, and the voice over speaks of feasting on the souls of the dead just as Alduin did as we see this supernatural realm with the warped stones and the lightening and the castle with the floating stones and energy, . It looks like the 7 foot tall demon bat vampire goes there to eat dead souls maybe?
