Anyone else notice that theres what looks like a new landmass map just after the bit where trailer looks at an eldar scroll? looks like land with sea at the top and some mountains drawn on like in the skyrim map.

Noticed the mounted combat; this is why it was included in the 1.6 beta patch...to prepare for dawnguard.

Does this mean we'll see a release within weeks?

AFAIK the release date is still "Summer 2012," which could be anywhere from June to August. (Or even September, if you don't consider the end of summer to be until after the autumnal equinox.

) I'd wait and see on that one. And don't forget it's exclusive to the XBox for 30 days (IIRC) as well, so even if it came out tomorrow PC/PS3 users won't see it until the end of June at best. Boo.

That was a great trailer. I guess the latest mounted combat patch goes hand and hand with it!

The Crossbows and the winged vampires look epic! Hopefully there are some new arrow and bolt crafting mechanics to go along with it!

I can't wait until this DLC (eventually) gets released for the PS3!

Hehe, all I can say is wow, the DLC looks awesome! I was gonna buy it anyway cos it's more stuff to do in Skyrim, but consider me more sold than a.. Than a ... Than a sold thing, yeah! XD

I'm gonna have to choose the Dawnguard though, my guy is a hero and a werewolf, so I doubt I could join the vamps anyway (if that's what they were, would be awesome if you could be both and shift into a vampiric werewolf form).

Didn't take long for the whiners to show up. Or maybe that was sarcasm and I just did not get it. Well, if it's any consolation, the Snow Prince will probably be in Hearthfire if not in Dawnguard.

I have watched it a few times but I cannot say I am impressed. It looks like you won't have much choice in the DLC. Vampires want to block out the sun, and you have to stop them. I would like there to be the ability to join them and block it but if you think about it, that would ruin the whole game and be an automatic endgame.

So it looks like two castles will magically appear in Skyrim and then you have a choice to do the vampire quest.

I'm still looking forward to it but it doesn't look like the epic DLC I was expecting.

Ha! I will entertain the idea once I get into it. I feel like I will welcome it eventually. Welcome it more than being a damn wolf, that is for sure.

- new armors, they look amazing.
- new weapons, not just Crossbows, but at 0:55, that looks like a dragon bone Bow. Maybe there are now Dragon weapons.
- A new demon horse at 1:04

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Thank you for providing me with an awesome reason to return to playing Skyrim!!!!! I loved the vampire lord form in the video and am so glad to see it given an epic storyline fleshed out with all this lore and drama.

I can't wait to learn when I can play it. A shame I lost the save file for my 150 hour main character because Steam had me under the impression it would save my save game, I am such a fool for not backing it up myself.

I guess this will be a good reason to force me to start a new character.

looks epic!
i could never see myself playing as a vampire but this might change my mind, especially if we can block out the sun! I might make 2 saves and play one as a dawn guard and the other as a vamp. im kind of excited for crossbows because my mage character is an excellent archer. i still wanna know what the dragon was doing....
