I have watched it a few times but I cannot say I am impressed. It looks like you won't have much choice in the DLC. Vampires want to block out the sun, and you have to stop them. I would like there to be the ability to join them and block it but if you think about it, that would ruin the whole game and be an automatic endgame.

You did hear the part where the narrator says: "What do you seek, to be one of us, to make the darkness your own, to feast on the souls of the living and the dead... or are you with them, the dawnguard."?

Sounds like you have a choice to me.

So it looks like two castles will magically appear in Skyrim and then you have a choice to do the vampire quest.

I'm still looking forward to it but it doesn't look like the epic DLC I was expecting.

It looks like you have the choice to join the Dawnguard and fight the vampires, or to join the vampires and get the vampire form to me.

c'mon guise admitt it, the dawnguard for looks WAY prettier than the vampire fort

this just all reminds me of van helsing again!

i hope its DLC like shivering isles where you can visit the place after you completed it! instead of fallout dlc where you cannot return to the places after you completed it

i really hope its interchangable so you can visit whenever you want....

anyone want to start suspecting which province this is nearest to?

its weird, its got the ghost sea look up north but then its also got the terrain of the rift!

Anyone see the enemy vampire transform into a flock of bats at about 0:58?! Looked awesome!

Loving the seriously dark theme. none of my play-throughs suit this at all at the moment so I'm going to have to make a truly evil character asap.

Any ideas on release date??

That's the second (presumed) DLC that comes Dawnguard. Bethesda copyrighted that a while ago.

looks epic!
i could never see myself playing as a vampire but this might change my mind, especially if we can block out the sun! I might make 2 saves and play one as a dawn guard and the other as a vamp. im kind of excited for crossbows because my mage character is an excellent archer. i still wanna know what the dragon was doing....

It's not going to change my mind. That's why I'm happy it looks like I can join the Dawnguard.

I'm pretty sure there's bits of the Dovahkiin turning into a vampire lord there, and the narration also very obviously suggests a choice ("Is it to be one of us ... or are you with them?"), so we clearly get two options.

I don't see how blocking out the sun is an "automatic endgame," either. It'll just be like regular Skyrim, but 200% more dark.

Besides which, I think Bethesda learned their lesson about forcing an endgame on sandboxes with Fallout 3...so much so that they "fixed" it with DLC. Add in the fact that there's clearly more DLC to come, and it seems pretty silly to put an endgame in the first DLC you release.

Not really. As powerful as the CK is, there are just some things that require more of an engine level access that modders don't have. Not to mention the proprietary tools that Bethesda can't release to the public.

Its an Elder Scroll, first time we've seen it displayed on the back like that.

Notice the part where he opens the elder scroll and you see a part of West Skyrim, between Markarth and Solitude, and at the beginning of the nothern tributary of the Karth River there seems to be a symbol
