Oghma Infinium Exploit Should Not be Patched

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:53 pm

I honestly don't care, it's a single player game and we all have ourselves to praise or blame for the choices we make. If you wanna power level- go for it. If you want to exploit glitches- go for it. If you want to play hardcoe mode with no fast travel and eating daily- go for it. In the end none of it affects my game which is played to my own tastes. As long as I am not hindered from my own experiences in my game I don't care/mind what someone else does.

It doesn't make sense. It takes the fun out of the game in my opinion. Well anyway the exploit was fixed months ago so yeah

You sir are wrong its still working.

Technically, it should be fixed, and the reason is kind of stupid. Because there's an achievement for getting level 50, using Oghma Infinium to reach level 50 and unlock that achievement violates the Xboxlive TOS, and can actually result in an account and console banned from online functionality. Not that I think it'd happen, but the rules state it should.

I was level 77 before i even knew that existed.

This. Happened to me. Lost my level 53 character with over 300 hours down to BSF.. I really don't look forward to grinding away levels again and playing without the perks I had (such as sell any item to any merchant)...
I lost 2 characters in a row that were maxed out and 50+ due to gamebreaking bugs/glitches the oghma infinium helped alot

Used in my first character because I didn't want to grind for the ritual spells...then I made another mage character later that was twice as good without the glitch or ritual spells. It really is just for messing around.

They can't find out, since the game is not online. They need to hack the person's data and find the codes that prove the person cheated.

It defeats the whole purpose of playing a game like this to begin with. Your right it doesn't affect me. I think the morons at work just make me bitter about this subject. They make character after character and use the glitch for every single one, even their first. Yet brag about their characters power and wonder why I'm not capped yet. Because I earned every single skill point I have that's why. I don't think anyone should use it on their first character mostly.

Its our game we can do what we want with it i say.

Patch it. It's not your decision, but Bethesda's and i think they will *if they haven't* .. simply because games like this should have already been patched completely. If they don't .. they will never learn to make good games, and they will keep doing the same thing in future installments. They must patch it along with other exploits. If you don't like it then .. go and play another game .. Call of Duty or something else, but this really needs to be patched quickly. Also Rosafia hates exploits.

As opposed to say, the seductive Fast Travel as an experience-ruining thing, you actually have to go out of your way to do it, and it's easy to forget about.

I'm in favor of it staying.

Call of duty is online your not angering people by glitching on skyrim. Its a good thing to use if you've had 3 characters and are getting slightly bored of leveling up slowly on a new character. I think they should leave it in. Its your choice to avoid it. At least it doesnt break the game.

That's what i think too, i used the glitch after i beat the game and got the level 50 Achievement of course :bunny: I only used the glitch for fun to see what came with being that high.

Its a great fun factor in the game. Especially if your trying to get a girl into it but she doesn't ike it because its too hard leveling up. Ha not anymore love.

I don't think any of the fun exploits should. They are optional, so those that don't like using them, just don't use them.
