Most of the discussion concerning this delay has really disappointed me.
To be frank, a lot of the community are acting like spoiled, entitled brats.
It's almost as if the community is saying "how dare they not release it within a month." The community feels they are entitled to each DLC and it's quick bug free release just for being a member of the forum. What's worse, is people acting like a few weeks delay is something out the ordinary in software development. The fact that game design is now so advanced that we can see new content created and integrated into an existing game within a couple of months is amazing. I remember when I was young and I waited for almost 6 months for Sega to complete Sonic 3 with the release of Sonic & Knuckles. And it took the collective efforts of multiple gaming companies to finish the pile of disappointment that was Duke Nukem Forever within 13 years. It's even been almost 6 years since Half-Life 2: Episode 2 came out.
1 month of wait is nothing, stop being spoiled.
Well, to be frank, there are alot of children on this forum. And quite a few young men and women, who though by their cronological age are advlts, are no where near as mature as they will be when they are older. The major point you make here is really not centered on their age, though, but their behavior. Maybe I'm from a different generation, or maybe my years in the Marines have molded me into a different sort of person, but I also think that the behavior displayed over the last few days is reprehensible, regardless the age or maturity of the poster. There's just a whole bunch of folks around here that haven't been brought up right by their parents, and they're damn lucky they're not my kids. If they were, and they acted like that, that problem would be corrected immediately. My 9 year olds show more respect for others than many of the forum users here, and there's some people around here that should be really ashamed by that.
Oh, and If you see this tonight Jason, turn off the computer, spend some time with your family, go get a beer or whatever. The work day is over and there's absolutely no reason why you should be subjected to a bunch of immature whining on your own time. Your, and everyone else's, efforts are appreciated by those of us that recognise them for what they are and will never be by those that don't. Take the night off and we'll see you at work tomorrow.
-Gunny out.
