Old World Blues Release Date and Discussion 3.0

Post » Fri Jun 24, 2011 7:56 pm

Copypasta'ed from the previous one...here we go again. Let's do our level best to be civil this time, eh? I'd rather not make The Bear angry.

A continuation of http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1203908-old-world-blues-release-date-and-discussion-20/ thread-- general discussion about OWB as well as discussion regarding the announced release date of July 19 should go here. Feel free to link any reputable sources of information, screenshots or screenshot compilations, etc. that were posted in the original thread for those who may not have been following the first thread.

For those who missed it, the blog post confirming the release date is http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/06/22/old-world-blues-releasing-on-july-19th/.

Arg… I’m just disappointed in myself, for getting this hyped up and excited for the dlc coming out this month. When I know stuff like this happens but, at least they will be working more bugs out of the dlc …thought atm doesn’t ease my disappointment >.<

Also from my experience I’m sure the devs are just excited as the players about the fan-base playing their work… well besides the ones who have become bitter and resorted to feeding on tears of the user base those guys are just evil:p

again...

It may be a bit redundant at this point, but I'd rather attempt to keep discussion to one thread. Maybe I'm being foolish...but at least if this thread dies, we'll know that interest in discussion has waned.

I only hope the new patch could be released earlier, maybe 6/28 or 7/5.

That's what I'm worried about. Other games will take over. Like Rage...

That's actually entirely possible, unless the delay in release is caused by the scope of the patch itself, as some have suggested. For now, all we can really do is speculate. And salivate.

More like the 7th of July imo. I'm just kinda guessing here, but Thursdays seems like patch day to me.

Well, yeah, I ain't even playing NV right now.
But it's still pissing me off that they constantly delay every [censored] thing for New Vegas.

Damn. The other thread got locked right before I replied..

Since there's literally nothing I can tell you that will make you happy at this point I'm just going to sit here and watch.

Just please be civil.

Hopefully you'll agree that the patch was worth the delay.

Gamebryo giving you hell again? Of course it would be worth the wait if the patch works. I would even pay extra for a unique Tri-Beam Laser Rifle or mods for the standard version and a perk for heavy and medium armor since light armor has it's ultimate perk :hubbahubba:. I have a suggestion for the Power Armor perk:

Power Armor Expert

Requirements: Science 90, Repair 70

You have mastered the science of Power Armor and are now able to modify it's attributes. While wearing any Power Armor, you gain +3 Damage Threshold and +10% Damage Resistance.

Or this:

While wearing any Power Armor, you gain +20% Damage Resistance.

Or this:

While wearing any Power Armor, you gain +5 Damage Threshold.

Feel free to tweak it if need be. Im no expert at creating perks.

Im just going to state my opinion one more time,I dont mind if they take thier time with this, dont want a buggy add on release.

And Im sorry about using contempt wrong to who ever pointed that out.But if you realy feel the need to point out my mistakes,no reason to be rude about it. :cold: :flamed:

I know people are mad, but cant we get along? :hugs:

WMX is absolutely must-have.

and a perk for heavy and medium armor since light armor has it's ultimate perk :hubbahubba:. I have a suggestion for the Power Armor perk:
There is one: 5 DR vs energy weapons for metal armor and 2 dr for eyeglasses.

Most of the discussion concerning this delay has really disappointed me.

To be frank, a lot of the community are acting like spoiled, entitled brats.

It's almost as if the community is saying "how dare they not release it within a month." The community feels they are entitled to each DLC and it's quick bug free release just for being a member of the forum. What's worse, is people acting like a few weeks delay is something out the ordinary in software development. The fact that game design is now so advanced that we can see new content created and integrated into an existing game within a couple of months is amazing. I remember when I was young and I waited for almost 6 months for Sega to complete Sonic 3 with the release of Sonic & Knuckles. And it took the collective efforts of multiple gaming companies to finish the pile of disappointment that was Duke Nukem Forever within 13 years. It's even been almost 6 years since Half-Life 2: Episode 2 came out.

1 month of wait is nothing, stop being spoiled.

That cant be considered an ultimate perk. It's primarily useful to people who have Meltdown so that they are a little less likely to vaporize themselves. That perk is bugged anyways. It doesnt work for BoS Power Armor or Salvaged Power Armor.
