Don't see any mention about main critical problem of engine which produce BSODs (and not only). Even Deus Ex programmers listened to me and bugthesda can't, they are in tgm mode.

Does anyone said about the bug with plants animation which stopping at some low fps (guess about 20)?

Deus Ex is a SquareEnix game, and we all know how well their programming team is. Just look at the release of FFXIV

Still will be playing 1.0 without Steam & not patching to 1.4 because (1) Bethesda always seems to address almost every issue... except the ones I have & (2) they tried to force Steam on me & i don't like being forced to do anything.
If they ever get around to incorporating the simple fixes the unofficial ENB patch addresses or at least allow the ENB patch to be compatible with other versions besides 1.0, i may consider patching....but until then i'll keep using the 11/11/11 exe.

I can't enjoy the game at all when all mountains in the background are flickering like crazy.

:/

Really? It can't be that bad. Mine does this too, but meh.

Get some meds, mang.

Darn, Esbern bug still isn't fixed... at least not on the "quest bug" list.

As I understand it, this is a regression introduced by one of the 1.3.x.x updates and was previously working. There have been cases where fixes for regressions were not mentioned in the release notes (e.g. treasure map chests). It is possible they don't mention fixes for regressions if they can get away with it. Backwards-flying dragons and broken resistances are cases where they couldn't get away with it because of how well-known they were.

Regressions should be the highest-priority fixes for any developer and I'd expect Bethesda to follow this same formula. Let's wait and see what's actually fixed by the update, since the release notes typically do not reflect every fix that the update contains.

"Legit?" If anything, the 1.4.x.x update will fix more than just the items mentioned. Almost every update so far has included undocumented fixes. Or are you questioning the http://www.bethblog.com/2012/01/19/news-on-the-creation-kit-and-game-updates/of the list?

No, more like questioning the integrity of the actual patch. Sure, it has a pretty changelog, but will it hold up to that when it gets released? We'll have to wait and see.

No patch yet, just the blog.
The patch log looks `better` then the 1.3 one.

Since my game is totally broken anyway, it's not like I have anything to lose.

One thing I miss on the release notes are the fixes for the PC user interface. Selecting the right line in dialogue, inventory and other screens is a gamble, because often it doesn't use the option you've selected. Often screens close when you select the bottom option. Also, even if you have a high resolution where lists would fit on the screen you still need to scroll the list up to see all of it. Those annoy me more than any other bug in the game, because these are there all the time.

Try disabling XBOX Controller Support on the Main Menu user settings. That did it for me.

Fear not, when the CK is released, the UI is going to undergo massive improvements.

It was partially correct. The beta of 1.4 went live this morning. :-) in case you didn't notice from all the topics on it

I don't see any low volume fix on the next patch /sad

I think they expected everyone to be using 5.1 speaker config.

OK silly question...my Steam says I'm no longer participating in beta...but my Skyrim in-game states I'm playing 1.4.21.4. I thought that version was still beta....soooooo, how will I know if I'm playing with the official, non-beta patch?

That's because there is no longer a Skyrim Beta to participate in. Version 1.4.21.04 is the release version. You can think of the third beta as a release candidate if that helps. With no beta opt-in available on Steam and 1.4.21.04 already present on your system, there's nothing for Steam to do as you're already running the latest version of the game.

ok thanks...it seems odd that after the latest 'beta' there was not a single file changed before moving out of Beta...not one bug, quirk, or optimization they could find in the last few days? oooooooooooook.

It's more likely any issues found in 1.4.21 got punted to the next update rather than forcing another 2-3 day testing period for another beta build. Whether the next update is a smaller, incremental update (of which we were promised several) or a Spring update, I don't know. Participating in the beta was like talking to a brick wall - with no information coming from Bethesda, so I'm not sure how useful the whole process was. It did fix the sound issue related to the map but beyond that I saw little benefit.
